About
Malta's first and only Prohibition bar, providing an excellent array of contemporary and era cocktails made by our expert mixologists under the watchful eye of the Barber. With live music on most Wednesday Friday and Saturday nights the Barber is determined to provide a top notch service and excellent ambiance for any group size who appreciate a great night out.

Awful service. I visited a couple of days ago and even though the pub was more or less empty (inside and out) the bar tender was unsure whether there was room for us or not. Once we sat down, nobody came to take our order for at least 10 minutes until one of us had to go inside to ask for a menu, to which we were told that they don’t provide menus and they made cocktails to suit our tastes and tailor them to our needs. After finally taking our order, the drinks still did not arrive, after at least another 10 minutes one of us went inside to check on them and we’re told that cocktails take time to make and we should not rush them, even though there were hardly any customers inside, we waited another 5 minutes and then decided to leave, the employees were obviously not interested in providing a good service. It’s a shame as the decor etc seems rather nice, doesn’t match the level of service.

The bar was highly recommended so we arrived early at 8.30 pm. In the front of the bar was a sign, which is not my understanding of a speakeasy bar. There are was only one table occupied by a single guest. Without any explanation we were told, that there is no place either at the tables or the bar. Only a small high standing table was offered. Staff was very rude and unfriendly. Left the place completely disappointed.

Water tasted watery.
Didn't get to taste anything else because the service wasn't up to scratch. Prioritised a bigger group over us even though we were infront of them.
Seemed very protentious. Barman spoke to me with ill manners and little respect. He also lied on the waiting time of drinks when he finally came to us and took our order. From the time we entered to the time we left totalled 24 minutes and which time we didn't sip one alcoholic beverage. Just a measly bottle of water ( which they wanted €3.50 for )
Wouldn't waste your time of day. I know the name is thirsty barber , however I didn't think theyd leave their customers parched.

"Marcie" from Baltimore our server was a joy to talk to hearing about her living in Malta for a year. Her drink recommendations were spot on. We came early and were the 1st customers there so she spoiled us. It was a quiet night, thry typically have music on Wednesdays, but I absolutely would go back there. The cucumber drink with yogurt was spectacular. My husband and I tried a total of 6 of their specialty cocktails, all delicious.

Great fun, live music and greats drinks make the place simply a must go to, in Malta. The place looks amazing, with its prohibition style decore and the actually employees know their job inside out. Loved it, Love it and will always love it.

Amazing đź‘Śđź‘Śđź‘Śđź‘Śđź‘Ś place!
Didn’t know what to expect at first because we was just walking by for some drinks. However, we got very positive surprised. The bartender made very tasty cocktails and a the staff was supernice. Fast on the floor and they also took time to talk to us since it was our first time. The night we visited they were playing “rock” music. We asked if we could make some request songs,( club music/ electronic) and was told No at first. But after a while the manager came and asked what we wanted to listen to… that really made our night,
It ended up us staying for 2.5 hours…and we was just going in for 1-2drinks in the beginning.
This is a small and very cozy place and I can really recommend it. Ask for the bartender Sito, he will make the best cocktails 🍸 for you.

The most expensive place I've ever visited in my life,for sure one of the most expensive in Malta. Nice location but they don't know how to treat clients honestly.You can drink the same thing in many other place and pay 15 euros less. Never again.

The staff are lovely, but €12 for the smallest pornstar martini I've ever had. My friend ordered an orange juice and asked for a splash of grenadine - €7! When an orange juice alone is €2.50? Ridiculous prices.

The Thirsty Barber is my favourite place m and what take the first place is the people working there, very professional, approachable and always meet and exceed your expectations. they are always a step ahead of you to make sure you have a smouth and flawless experience yet memorable.
second atmosphere is amazing, the crowd is very good and not to forget they can make tailored cocktails based on your preferences that bring it to an other level, bartenders makes the best cocktails in the region.

An absolute gem of a place. We had to book in advance but what a wonderful experience. We arrived just before live band”Native” were about to perform. We were delighted to have been reserved a table front row. The music was excellent but the service was exceptional as were the cocktails. The Thirsty Barber is not to be missed. A highlight of our trip.
