  • Not overly exciting but everything you need
So starting on the lower floor there are small electrical and mobile stalls as well as a well stocked supermarket. Prices are cheap, the higher up you go the prices seem to rise, the other floors contain clothing, bags and watches some replicas. There are several well stocked food courts with all manner of cuisine and toilets are available

    A big rat spotted!
I would like to give it a higher rating if not for the smokers' paradise at Food Street & gulp, a BIG grey rat near the toilet where all the mobile phone kiosks are. My husband & daughter saw it & told me. I quickly turned to look but it had scurried away. The vendors sitting there did not looked the least alarmed. It must be a daily occurrence. Nagoya Hill Mall needs to ensure a better standard of hygiene urgently. There was a stall set up outside the hyper mart selling doughnuts. I went to take a look. They were cheap, no doubt but they were UNCOVERED. Gasps! The mountain of doughnuts were placed open on the table just like that. My goodness. Anybody could just sneeze or flick his snot while walking past. Flies could land on the food easily. And remember the big rat that was spotted earlier? Mmm...

Kuih Lapis and Kuih Ambon - Original
The mall is not worth visiting. Unless you are looking for very cheap buys and bargains. Many of the shops sells identical products where prices varies. Take in mind many of the products are cheap imitations. The mall is surrounded by many massage centres offering affordable foot reflexology to spa treatments. Window shop around before making an appointment with the centre of your choice. The jewel is Sun Bread Bakery / Confectionery. For their Kuih Lapis. With Butter. Price ranges for original Kuih Lapis to various flavour are way much cheaper than other outlets offering the same. For their Kuih Ambon Taste and smell divine. The staff are friendly and not pushy to sell their products. Should you order more than 5 boxes of their Kuih Lapis/Ambon, they will deliver to your hotel. Depending on distance and location. Be prepared to pay for delivery should you be staying away from Batam Centre / Nagoya Hill area. Since I stayed at Holiday Inn, didnt mind paying for the extra distance delivery. Do order 1 day in advance. They will deliver on the date & time you want to the hotel's front desk. Delivery person will take photo of the delivery and Whatsapp you. We made arrangement for front desk to deliver to our room Tastebud verdict Between butter and margarine - butter tasted better. The Kuih Lapis almost melts in your mouth and the taste lingers. Cakes and pastries sold in the bakery / confectionery are worthy too for tea / coffee breaks.

Nagoya hill has matahari department store with some good discounts, many small clothing stores and lots of gadget shops downstairs and a supermarket too. Bought some phone stands, phone covers, but not that cheap as you can get these at similar or lower prices on phone apps like shopee lazada etc too. But you get to touch what you buy beforehand, so that’s the difference.

TOURISTS ALERT: The DISHONEST fruit juice and drink stall at the Nagoya Hill Mall Food Street in front of A&W and KFC is a total rip off!

We ordered a can of coke and paid the stall keeper rp50,000 and only got back rp5000 which means it cost SGD4.50. My other friend ordered 2 fruit juices from the other stall keeper and it was rp50,000 for a fresh pineapple juice. The juices came and after just one sip, it tasted so diluted and awfully disgusting to drink.

When we requested for a refund, the stall keeper pretended that she don't understand what we are saying and refused to entertain us. She did not offer to make us another one either. They are conniving and really cheating tourists money by overcharging their drinks. Please be careful of the stall keepers at the food street as they can easily overcharge you. This is a disgusting practice and distasteful.

The place is run down with blackout and leaking aircon. Drank coffee at J.Co. We also ate panties pizza. Bought garlic peanuts at 45k per pack when other places are selling at 33K. A lot of shops and good paces are closed. No movie too.

This mall look very old and run down, but with many good food selections that are not expensive. Directly opposite the mall, there are a whole street massage shops and you can take your time to choose. Also there's a huge supermarket and next door to supermart is a big pharmacy. On level 2, there are many small stalls selling the popular local Kueh Lapis too.

I would say that its quite an average shopping mall, as I'm a city person. While on the flip side, this shopping centre kind of give me the vintage vibe as although it looks old but still pretty decent. They have a good range of the local famous Kuala-pis if you would like to get some for your friends and family.

My boyfriend and I went to Batam's Nagoya Hill Shopping Centre and chanced upon Kopisoe there. Ordered their ice chocolate and brown sugar ice coffee, both were super delicious! We went back again the next day just to taste their coffee before we return to Singapore. Staffs were also friendly!

We are a group of 25. We came to Batam for our organisation's retreat and stayed at Nagoya Hill Hotel. While most of my team-mates went for a body massage, I came to visit this shopping mall which is just a street away from the rear of the hotel.

Nagoya is the `Orchard Road' of Batam and the mall is one of the few modern malls in this `Orchard Road'. I have not been in Batam for a decade and I was surprised to see such a modern and crowded mall in this part of Indonesia. The hypermarket has the similar scale as that I visited in Johor Bahru. I met few price savvy Singaporeans looking at the products on the shelves and mentally converting the price from rupiah into Sing dollars and evaluating whether it is worthwhile buying them here. One caution of course is not to buy products that are easily available and cheaper in Singapore. Just a word of caution, there are many foreign products which are cheaper in Singapore than over here. Please do not buy a more expensive product here where you can find it cheaper in Singapore.

There is also a Matahari department store where you can buy apparels and shoes. Some are locally produced while some are foreign imports.

I like the food street corner with the covered roof. It reminded me of the shopping alleys in Osaka. On both sides of the streets are eateries of great varieties. You have the fast food outlets of Pizza Hut, Kentucky Fried Chicken, A & W. There are Chinese restaurants, Korean, Taiwanese, Japanese, western and local Indonesian food quite a variety to choose from.

There is also our BreadTalk at a corner of the mall. I went in to have a look. Beside the usual confectionery items, there is also a cafe corner. This BreakTalk outlet differs from those I see at home.

Right at the top floor is also another food court. There are the Malaya Cafe, the Gadeno Pizza & Steak, the Bakso Kota, Coffee Town and Shilin Taiwan Street Snacks. There are plenty of eateries and good food at this mall. There are also many push cart stall where gifts, cosmetics and new year items are sold. The management of this hypermarket really made full use of the space at the atrium and alleys.

The cinema box was also quite standard and only charge 45,000 rupiah which is about $4.50/- per show. One of the show screening at that time was the IPman latest series. But I am not sure if the shows are in the original version: Cantonese or dubbed in Bahasa Indonesia. I understand there is a massage parlor Eska heard is quite famous for body massage.

I spent about 2 hours inside this hypermarket. Most of my times are spent at the hypermarket itself. It is a safe place to go rather than roaming out on the street at night.

Of course, since the place is crowded, our guide also advised us to be extra vigilant and do not put our wallet at the rear pockets where the items can be easily pick-pocketed.

Overall, I think the shopping mall is a good place to enjoy few hours at night. Drink, eat, shop, watch a show and be happy!

One of the most Famous Shopping Center in Batam after Mega Mall..... Its Huge...If u r a female and like to shop then u need one full day....

AT the mail entrance u see the Famous J.Co Donuts store... and u will have mouth filled with all the saliva...U cannot get more fresh anywhere then what they serve. I have reviewed them separately... large clothing stores...Specially Matahari.....u might get lost in it....Level B1 has a must checkout mobile arcade...U can buy new SIM cards for cheap... for a total of (10$) 90K IDR ,u can get ultra fast 2 GB data and 20 min of call value (HOTROD). There are plenty of coffee and Tea joints but they all have full food range menu... so dont just go on the name....

Must have there is Donuts from J.Co..... Seafood from Red Crab..... Layered cake from many shops there(they serve fresh and its cheap)..... If you are not a fan of sweet things then i would advice to mention with every order of cool drinks to make it less sweet else by default it will the sweetest thing you hv ever tasted overpowering all other Taste....

Avoid PizzaHut...No Taste and flies in all corners....Poor AirCon.....

If has many Money Exchange Counters so you won't be facing any issue like shortage of Cash until you are out of Dollars...

The place could do much better with good Wi-Fi reception as it sees a lot of traffic. Can do a better service for cleaning Toilets.Though they have good taxi services but if you want to save money...try Silver Cab...just call and book... cheaper for any distance......

They have good HomeDepot type shops where you can buy anything for home.... Interesting collections...Must checkout....Toy Stores.....SHops with abundant Replicas and Imitations of Branded Watches and bags. Shop them at your own Risk.

Rest all its good and must to visit place.
