well its a great park but others do spoil it for family outtings. i witness a Bull Dog just pooped on the grass next to the botton car park where kids were feeding the swans and the owner of the dog just walked off with his girlfriend without bagging it up and not caring at all about children playing around that area. i was so shocked i left with my two grandkids not soon after. it was some sort of a BIG type of Bull dog like a mastiff and it left a big mess as you can imagine. also another time i was there was a Devil Dog meeting in the top car park next to YES NEXT TO the childrens play park near the toilets OMG i thought this is parthetic. i wasnt going to let my grandkids to be another Victim. i just thought how can anyone arrange a Devil dog meeting at a childrens play park even i was forrified i left stright away telling my two grandkids that we have to go somewhere else . also i read about a girl a few years ago needing 12 stitches to her face from an attack from a german shepherd or similar OMG. i just drove back out i was so DISGUSTED, then another time a young girl horse rider out of control next to where i was parked with my two grandkids and again i couldnt let them out of my car on this sunny day as it was too Dangous as they couldnt conltrol this BIG horse most people like myself were staying in there cars for protection... not to mension the miss use of motorbikes,

I live this park and take my puppy nearly every day - however it needs cleaning up - today there is litter and dog poo everywhere. What’s wrong with people ! It needs more bins and monitoring to catch the idiots who don’t clean up after their dogs or take their rubbish away

This is a beautiful walk with fantastic views, if you're feeling adventurous you can climb up to Penshaw monument and there is a play area for younger children, bring food for the swans and other lake birds or you can buy some from the vans dotted about
