One of the largest hydroelectric power stations in Europe. The main hall is located 700 metres inside the mountain. It is 200 m long, 20 m wide and measures 40 m in height. Guided tours 15/6-15/8 at 10.00, 12.00 and 14.00. Guided tours all-year-round for groups. The 1-hour tour includes a film about the construction of the power station and a guided tour of the main hall.

Attention: Visit with guided tour only possible in July 2017 (at 10, 12 and 14 p.m) We followed information in various touristic guides and are dissapointed that visit was not possible today. The friendly guy only guides groupes by request.

With the rain falling in Eidfjord, this indoor attraction proved very rewarding. Located a few km outside of Eidfjord the visit started with a short film explaining why the plant was there, who built it and who it supplies. This is not to be missed...More
