We didn't have time to go in the house but the gardens are excellent. Several different styles from formal to woodland, you could spend several, hours walking slowly round and exploring. Check opening times before going as it does not open every day. The house is by guided tour and not available every day the grounds open.

Had the pleasure of visiting this beautiful house and gardens today, both were outstanding. We had a house tour by a lovely guide who was excellent and her passion for the property certainly shone through. The walled garden was gorgeous, particularly the amazing dahlias and roses. What a treat to be served tea in a lovely china teapot, teacup and... More

Visited on a sunny day (which is essential), didn't bother doing the inside of the house just the gardens. The flowers in the garden, especially the walled garden, were very good. Facilities are a bit basic.

We visited earlier this month having been inspired by visiting the Food Festival a few weeks before. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour of the house and the guide brought the history of the house and its previous occupants to life. We wandered down to the colourful walled garden and had a lovely lunch in the tea rooms. To be recommended... More

Second visit to Kelmarsh. This time came to simply enjoy the lovely gardens and expansive countryside views. Though not the most outstanding time for flowers, if you love walled and formal gardens this is for you, as still very pretty. A nice tea room with plenty comfortable alfresco seating and food and drink choices is a treat on a sunny... More

Dear JoS772, We are sorry to hear that you were disappointed on your recent visit to us and that you were not made aware at the Visitor Centre that access to the gardens is temporarily restricted. The event was well sign posted and easy to find. Plenty free parking and we enjoyed perfect weather and a awesome day out at the festival. The event was well organised with plenty to see, eat and enjoy. Loved the food demonstrations and the garden seating while listening to some relaxing live music. Will be back next year.

We called in for a mid-afternoon cup of tea and what a delight it turned out to be. Lovely surroundings and a great traditional tea room. A good pot of tea served in a china tea pot. And a novelty nowadays - china tea cups - it didn't matter that cups and saucers did not match. There was a tempting... More
