Just a short stop is all that is required for a view back out over the jungle and the mouth of the Daintree River.

Walu Wugirriga Lookout is easily accessible via a small parking lot. The views are all the way out to the Coral Sea the the rainforest as a backdrop.

Wonderful lookout and you can witness where the forest meets the sea. Lovely contrasting colours. Very quiet and nobody else around- peace and quiet – perfect.

It is definitely worth stopping to see the view of the Daintree area including the river. As we were talking pictures a small rain storm was starting to come through over the river.

This is an easy visit, being right on the side of the road, with parking. A great view out to the coast and through some of the rainforest. Definitely worth a quick stop for a look and photos when traveling through the Daintree.

Don't miss it on your drive up to the Daintree Wilderness Lodge! It's a quick and easy stop to stretch your legs and take in the view.

Don't forget your camera. (on sunny days) great photo opportunity's for the gram-models. Or the ones who just like to take great photos.

The lookout is about 10 minutes drive north from the Daintree River ferry. There’s a great view of the coastline, stretching south from the foothills of Mount Alexandra. The lookout space can get a little busy if a tour bus is arrives but usually the stay is short. A signpost (photo) indicates the landmarks you are seeing.
