A temple under A S I
Mar 2020 • Couples
Located exactly 9 km away from Renigunta railway station amidst the middle of village. Reaching is possible only by way of auto or private vehicle. The climate is quite hot. A small temple of lord shiva well maintained by ASI. The history is in telugu and english and sadly the english descriprion is spoiled. Some reader has suggested to go papanaidupet by share auto and from there can proceed to the temple. You should have a lot of time at your disposal for this .Otherwise quickest move is to hire an auto and finish. It took totally around an hour and half for us and for there we proceeded to Srikalahasthi temple by bus. We paid 400 rupees for the up and down trip which I felt a little bit high. We tried negotiating but almost all the autos were charging the same rate only. Can't help when you are out the auto fares literally kills you and of late bus fares also joined the bandwagon. A days vist cost us ( no hotel booking or eating )2000 just like that.

Ancient Shiva Temple of 2nd Century B.C.
May 2016 • Family
Yes...what you read is correct. It was a temple constructed, 2300 years ago. It is identified as a heritage monument by Government of India.

We took auto from Vishnu Nivasam to reach here. It is approximately 30min. journey from there. There is a big prakaram (outer wall) around the temple which has a small entrance. There are two temples located in this, besides main temple. One is amma temple and other is surya temple.Main temple having Shivling which is approximately 6ft below the ground level, having three parts. Brahma as Yaksha at base, Vishnu as Parasuma in the middle and Shiva as linga in the top.
Over all it is a nice experience visiting this temple. It is a must watch.

RARE TRIMURTHY TEMPLE
Mar 2015 • Family
One of the oldest and rarest Shiva temple. The temple dates back to 3rd century situated in a little village near Srikalahasti. The deity is in the form of Linga resting on the shoulders of a dwarf. The Linga is unique as it depicts the trimurthy Brahma, Vishnu & Shiva. It is difficult to express the visual experience in words, one has to go & see personally to experience it.
