Very peaceful, serene and beautiful temple. One needs a Steep climb of about 100 steps, followed by descent of another 100 steps. The whole path is scenic.

It is really amazing feeling i've got while visiting sahastra lingam. Most of time we missed it when we visit sri kalahasthi temple ,after all we visited.I suggest you don't be like me visit it when you are there, the reason is not only about temple and also about the nature created by God around it and the clean water.

It has film industry significant too,as it is used in many films too.

All Carved in One Shrine
Feb 2017
Sahasra Linga Temple is located in Srikalahasti town, about 40 kms from the temple town of Tirupathi. It can be easily accessible by train, Public and Private transport vehicles.

As the name reveals, Sahasra Ling means One thousand Lings. All these are carved out in one shrine. It is believed that one ‘darshan’ of this temple, can release oneself from all the evil attacks and curses. Its a pride and pleasant to visit this temple as this is located amongst beautiful place under a hill.

Most of the pilgrims fail to visit this temple as much time is consumed at Srikalahasti temple for performing Pooja both to Lord Siva and Rahu Ketu. But one should allot time to visit this temple and get blessed.
