The monastery is maintained very well, all the buildings were recently renovated. I personally like Curchi monastery more because of the architecture and art seems to better there. But Capriana is worthwhile to visit if you travel in the area.

Very quiet and soothing place. You can be alone with yourself. A very large and ancient monastery. All the buildings are renovated, there is a lot of greenery on the territory and very well-groomed.

Capriana is one of the lovelier monasteries I visited in Moldova. It isn't too far from Chisinau and therefore makes for a nice day trip. It is situated in a picturesque setting surrounded by water and country landscape. The 15th century monastery itself is small but the interior is beautiful and the grounds well-maintained.
Definitely worth a visit if you are in Moldova.

Me and my wife were in this place in June. Beautiful place with amazing garden. There are two church very beautiful and leave you without words. What I don't appreciate very well were the toilet, very dirty, and the external fountain the seems abandoned. Very useful big parking for auto and also for bus.

Must see, the space inside and out is wonderful. Bring a guide or read up before you go if you don’t speak romanian or Russian

I was there few times. The last time I went with two friends from Ireland and Alaska. It is about a week ago, middle of spring, gorgeous colours, lovely place, lovely atmosphere. You can just inside the monastery or even outside and enjoy the stillness, the beauty, the sounds and colours. Mesmerising and magic place. A place with an excellent aura and I would take any visitors there back again.

Very beautifull monastery. Inside is also impressive and there is a shop to buy religeous objects as well as candles and stuff. Well worth a visit!

Lovely place, and the ride up there is beautiful, but in 20 minutes you will have seen it all.. We combined with an other excursion and then it's worth it. Don't go through a lot of trouble getting there though.

About 40km north west of Chisinau, the exterior of the monastery is very simple but the inside is gorgeous, all painted in blue tones and covered in gold leaves. The great thing is you can take pictures here (unlike the cathedral in Chisinau).
They sell good honey in the shop.

A group of colleagues from work and I decided to visit by the end of our workshop. Even though it was not at the level of our expectations when we read about it, however we are glad to have made the trip as it was a good opportunity to get to know the country landscape and see the lifestyle out of the main city.
The monastery is small and is not fancy but the walk up to it below zero temperature and surrounded by snow is humbling when one would think of the monks living there.
I would certainly recommend that the place be visited only for the sake of experience and to know the actual life conditions in the country side.
