Great Waterfall - better after some rain - about time that Tararua District Council upgraded the track and fixed the picnic table that is damaged. go out here quite a bit love waterfalls :-) was great when in flood could see the mist for miles and the thunder of it was wicked. nice wee walk to get closer to the falls and not a bad swimming spot either.

Beautiful water fall to visit, it is about 1 hour drive from Dannevirke, narrow road, and some of it gravel. Once you get to the site, a walk down quite a steep walkway, to the bottom of this lovely tranquil area. Make sure you take some refreshments with you, as its quite a climb back up to the top.

The hardest part is getting there. It is about 40 minutes drive from Dannevirke, along sealed but winding roads, with the last few kilometres unsealed. However, when you get there there is a large carpark, toilets, and just a short walk down to the waterfall which is pretty impressive for this part of New Zealand. Some people choose to swim...
