Innovative and creative

This gallery has imaginative pieces that repurpose wood and metal. There is a range of work from inexpensive to larger pieces. The artist was friendly and talked about his work. Highly recommended.

Something unique
Feb 2020
This gallery offers a unique opportunity for you to have something really different in your home. It's really quirky and it makes you wonder where the artist plucks the ideas from... Not that there is anything wrong with his ideas. We need galleries like this that encourage us to think outside of the box.

There was a note on the door inviting me into the workshop if I was interested as well. I love that idea of being able to see where the magic is performed.

This gallery is easy to locate... it is diagonally located across from the well known Fish Creek Hotel.

The art pieces are very beautiful. The owner is very friendly and allows photos. You are most welcome to view the pieces, even if you don't buy anything.

Highly unusual gallery
Dec 2018 • Couples
Two very unusual items have travelled home to the UK with us. Perfect reminders of a month spent in Victoria. Made by a very creative artist. I treasure our red gum tree cut out of a block and the series of three galvanised pieces called 'eruptions'.
If you are a craft person or artist you will be spoilt for choice - or just inspired by the small and big things you see there.

I love it when I go to a new gallery and see a whole range of wonderful, unique pieces. I just wanted to touch things, especially the timber sculptures. This man is a true artist.

Took a stroll to Ride the Wild Goat gallery and workshop, liked the unusual art and things in this place. There is probably something you will really like to buy in this place. Great shop.

Stunning craftsmanship with quirky materials
Nov 2017 • Couples
I’ve visited this gallery a few times over the years and it always astounds me how clever the pieces are.
With an eclectic range of ‘art’ the goat is a must visit when you’re in Fish Creek.
Brimming with what I would call recycled industrial pieces, creations are made that will take your breath away. It’s not uncommon to hear visitors say ‘hey that’s a .....’ as it dawns on them what the materials are.
You can meet the owners on many days and see what they are working on.
The art isn’t cheap nor expensive but more importantly they are all one off originals. You won’t see any of these in IKEA.
Highly recommend a visit.
Kid friendly. Wheelchair friendly. Good parking out the front. Public toilets nearby.

Quirky and worth a look
Aug 2017 • Friends
The 'Ride the Wild Goat Gallery' is one of those painfully quirky affairs that even if you've no desire to purchase anything is worth a bit of a wander through. Much of the work on display is made from cast off or recycled items and it can be fun to look at how scraps and the like have been utilised to make amusing art pieces.

There is usually no trouble getting a park in Fish Creek and the best thing to do is to start at one end of the street where most of these galleries are and then do the whole lot.
