Birgit is an amazing woman and winemaker. The wine tasting she organised for us was fun as well as educational. It was great to learn more about the biodynamic wines, the special wines matured in amphoras or the local environment. We spent a lovely afternoon with her and a few other visitors during the harvest season. Even though she was very busy with the harvest, she found the time to welcome us. The wines are amazing, we left with a car boot full of wine bottles. Thoroughly recommend it.

First, we did a cellar tour and wine tasting which was performed by Birgit Braunstein herself. Not only does she produce only organic wines, but also adds a personal touch with the names of her wines and the unique "amphore wines". Secondly, we ate in the neighboring restaurant which is run by her brother (see my separate review). Well worth a visit and an experience which is different from most wine cellar tours.
