This is the little village of Punta Secca, in the Ragusa area, you could appreciate the Montalbano's house, the famous inspector, main character of the writer Andrea Camilleri.

What a delightful place to spend a while! Glorious clean beaches, crystal clear water, fabulous food, and a bit of ancient and more recent intrigue to investigate.
The only downside? People so rude as to climb the balustrades of the BnB used in the tv series Montalbano, and peer in peoples’ hotel rooms! Have they no shame? Certainly no manners.

The aim was to stay at Montalbano's house for a week. The trip did not disappoint. The apartment did not disappoint. Montalbano's was a great place to stay. The views and beach with restaurants close by. Recommend.

What Montabalno did not tell you is that there are little fish eating your feet if you just keep standing there. Some like it, I don't.

Great place for a swim in the sea and eating well. We can recommend the restaurant in the photo.
Further up on the beach towards the right, the sea is great to swim in. There is a cafe selling food, drink and sun lounge and umbrella €5 a piece. Good value for money.
Towards the right is moltabano's house.

Went here because the last time we were in Sicily we missed this corner. Loved all the Montalbano references. Sent pictures of all the tourist tat to friends who love Montalbano. Bought a fridge magnet and a mug. Did not buy the t shirt. There are limits!

Used the cafe in the Faro. And had the right to use the loo in consequence. Recommend it all.

My friends are all green with envy. We LOVE Montalbano! I’m sure they will all come too now we know how to get here!

Had to come here after watching Montalbano series. Wasn’t disappointed, saw the house and beach area but that’s about all that’s interesting here.

On a perfect mid October day La casa di Montalbano and the beach leapt straight out from the TV screen. In this case there was no trick of the camera just three children playing on the sand and a few visitors(see photo).
The sea is perhaps not as deep as implied by the detective series but great for a swim.
We were able to park just 10 metres from the house. Ah the joys of off season travel!

Faro translates as Lighthouse but I am not sure if you can actually visit inside as I have never seen any evidence of admission. It is however the most obvious landmark in this sleepy little seaside resort.
Many people visit this village on the trail of Montalbano filming locations as his apartment from which he looks out over the sea is here and the building is actually a Bed and Breakfast rental so for the most avid fans, you could actually say you have stayed in his flat. Just a few hundred metres along the seafront is the eponymous Enzo a Mare restaurant referred to as ‘Enzo’s’ by Salvo in the most recently broadcast episodes of the Italian Detective series. It should be noted that Enzo’s is only open for the summer season but that does not stop you from eating there and imagining that you are the famous detective.
