almost missed this on the side of the road. Worth a stop. A really nice man is there to provide torches so you can take a wander into the lava tube that runs under the road. Swallows nest near the entrance...

Follow the signs and stop at the village to pay an elder the fee (variable but assume $10-20/e). They will send you further up the road with a guide (in your car). It's a tricky drive and on the extreme limit for our Impreza. The...More

$15 for adults and $10 for children. We drove for 5 minutes with the guide. We got to the cave and he was clearly done for the day. We got into the cave and 10 metres in he said "see? We go back now, too...More

This is a must see place if you're into diving into risky dealings. You need to be fairly fit to travel down into the caves so people with bad knees beware! Some interesting local legends surround this tourist site.

Brilliant cave and as we arrived on bike and then walked along the dirt track access was not an issue. Delightful local boys were gathering coconuts and shared a much needed coconut drink with us and then kindly showed us through the cave right down...More
