Must see this amazing temple
Nov 2019 • Couples
Must be one of the most impressive and beautiful temples in Thailand. Extensive grounds with a fabulous array of buildings, statuary and works of art. We were lucky enough to visit on a festival day so lots of decorating going on. Just magical.

A Hidden Gem

Wat Analayo Thipphayaram is beautifully decorated with fine arts. There are quite a few places to see in the area. This is just one of the must see spots.

This is my favorite place in phayao
Jan 2018
Absolutely breathtaking views and peaceful vibes. First reaching there, you’re going to begin these stairs with ancient architecture. Once you hit the top, you’ll see a bunch of cute dogs but that’s also where the temple is! Each building designed so intricately! It just blows my mind. There is a spot where you can see kwan phayao in the distance.

a must see - totally magical
Oct 2017
this has been the highlight of our trip to thailand so far. such a magical, enchanting and stunning series of temples, with no tourists in sight.
a few tips: a tuktuk from phayao town should cost no more than 400 baht, inc, using waitng time and return. we spent three hours there.
once you arrive, you will be asked to go on a pick up truck for a "guided tour" for 400 baht. it's a rip off. just decline politely and take the impressive steps with the snaky walls on the right hand side. it's only 10 minutes walk to the main gate. there are lots of stray dogs around but they are i offensive.
the area is massive and full of hidden gems, with temple after temple in the jungle. it's safe and we only encountered a few monks. it's free to visit.
on the way back down, we stopped for a pad thai, completely freshly made and so cheap. then we took our tuktuk back into town (10 km).
if there one thing you do in phayao, it should be this one.

Mystical place
Jul 2017 • Friends
WOW this place feels so magical! When i visited this place, it was drizling lightly, so there was nobody beside me and my sister and her bf.

The area is quite spacious, it is consisted of 5 or more temples.
There were a lot of temple dogs in that area.

But since it was so quiet and no one was there even not the monk, i got very scared. The aura was very very mysterious !

Tranquility, Peace, Heritage, Uniqueness
Jul 2017 • Friends
Very distinctive ancient temple where you can find all that I mention in the title (Tranquility, Peace, Heritage, Uniqueness). There are several design of Buddha image, including an emerald Buddha.

Interior design of this temple is very unique. Minimalism but yet stylish and this is why this temple is so unique.

Scenery is lovely, overlooking Kwan Phayao.

Highly recommended.

One of the important temple of Phayao. The temple is in the mountains, its not so far from city.
If you come to visit Phayao but not visit this temple.... mean you not arrived Phayao 😁

An amazing complex on a mountain overlooking Phayao
Oct 2015 • Couples
This one is a little out of the way, but well worth the trip. It is situated to the north west of the city centre and requires perhaps a 10 kilometer trip each way to visit. The route I took, travelling around the southern and western edges of Kwan Phayao, were very well signposted.
From the car park area, where there is a small market area, you can either walk up a moderately steep stairway through an imposing archway, or drive a short distance to an open area at the entrance to the complex proper, as aside from the archway the stairs really offer little scenically.
From here there are numerous temples, stupa and Buddha statues covering a fairly wide area, but all accessible with pretty good pathways. There are quite a few steps in places so if mobility is a problem you may be limited a little in what you can access.
Overall this was a real find and in my opinion the most beautiful temple complex in Phayao, particularly given it's extensive layout, and the commanding view of Kwan Phayao and the city centre, but for this view you have to go right to the southern-most temple which has a viewing platform and less tree-screening than anywhere else.
