Stopped at the falls deemed Niagara of the North which were almost frozen. Stairs go around and across the falls to get a view from angles. Beautiful spot to stop and see if driving around Thunder Bay.

I've visited Kakabeka Falls many times in all seasons. It always provides beautiful views and great photos. Parking is easy and reasonable. A short walk brings you to a viewing platform for the best view of the falls. The gift shop is mall, but nice,...More

We stopped in here on our way along the Trans-Canada. This is a provincial park and one of the better ones for traffic flow and organization. We were impressed. There are wooden decks and galleries for looking at the falls. They have pretty much covered...More

Kakabeka is one of the best waterfalls we have ever seen. Such a wonderful series of rock ledges and voluminous flow in the River created a special site to behold. There are many walkways, bridges, etc. to offer different angles to view and take pictures...More

A lovely spot with easy access for our wheel chair friend, the Falls were beautiful with a backdrop of autumn leaves. We saw a pair of eagles perched high in trees in the gorge below the falls and watched them fish - a real treat....More

Understated beauty within a 30 minute's drive of Thunder Bay. The overlooks provide great vantage points and the scenery causes you to be still in awe. Worth it!

We stopped here on our way to Northern Manitoba so our daughter in law could take some photographs. A very gorgeous park that I would like to spend some time hiking through. Good place to stop and stretch your legs. You do need to stop...More

No, not for the volume of water, which is hard to match, but for the similar block to navigation it posed in years past. You will find the park with the "last spike" for the Lake Superior railroad near here as well. this used to...More

A must see! Absolutely beautiful! Lots of ground to cover for those who like to wander - many different lookouts with different views. Grounds immaculate.

We visited Niagara Falls a few days before going here, Kakabeka Falls are a lot smaller, but much nicer and very scenic. Small visitor centre and restrooms available.

There is a kiosk right at the entrance to the parking lot that accepts credit cards. But it doesn't seem to be the most reliable piece of equipment, so you may have to go inside the building.

We were there in the afternoon. If the Webb site does not tell you it is open all of the time to see. It is an open trail system. It s only the ranger office and gift shops that have restrictions on their hours.

No.there is no bus to the falls. I would suggest renting a car for they day, then you can visit other loCal sites.
