Millions of bats started to head out from the cave at 520pm. Was here at 445pm. Went to the night market opposite the temple to have some nice street foods. Best spot to take photo and video of the flight was at the main road, not within the temple. The flight last more than 30min.

This place is Wat Khao Chong Pran, there will be a cave nearby, when it's almost dark, there will be a flock of bats flying out of the cave every day. It's a rare natural sight and will return at dawn. There will also be a giveaway. Get a reclining Buddha image and there is still a place to view the scenery on the mountain to watch the sunset and also just above the mouth of the bat cave, which can come up and look at this corner. There will be a car to take up and walk. If you want to walk, you have to walk up to 499 step

Beautiful to see all the bats come out. Go there on time, and first climb up the stairs to see the sunset. Quick go down walk through the monkeys and see the bats. around 18 they start. It goes on and on, beautiful, you even can hear them making little sounds.
We stayed for sleeping in a nice Thai resort, Tara Spa Ratchaburi. It lies directly on the river, about 18 km from the Bat Temple, Just go!

Located not far from Bangkok, it is worth the trip. There were tons of people and the grounds/temples are beautiful. When the bats started, it was like nothing I've ever seen, MILLIONS of bats poured from the cave like a flow of black ink. It's a once in a lifetime experience. Don't miss it.

Went by car to the viewing grounds for the bat temple and it is like a festival. Big buildings offering ammenities( the bathrooms are beyond disgusting). Beautiful backdrop though. There were little monkeys around and chickens with their broods also a playground for kids. When the sun starts to sink and the bats start to come out it is amazing! It lasts for about 20 minutes or so, you will get a sore neck looking up but WOW, so many bats and yet, still so many flies!

Me and my good friend visited Thailand, we traveled from Bangkok to this place as we thought it would be a memorable and interesting experience, being fans of nature, and too right it was! What an extraordinary sight to witness an endless swarm of bat's streaming out of this mountainous hill. I read one review which doubted that there were millions of bats and suggested it was more like a hundred thousand but i reckon there was much more than a million. Definitely would recommend this rare experience. One of the most unique things in life i have witnessed!

We stayed in Pattaya, so waking up at 4:00 am and then driving 350 km was not an easy quest.
I will for sure not do it just for cave, and take alpaca park, orchid garden etc.
And I will not go there with children below 8 yo.
But apart from said, that’s impressive! That is! You find yourself in a real horror movie, and it’s hard to believe it’s happening for real! It starts from unpredictable monkeys at the entrance and right when the sun goes downs suddenly from the middle of the mountain a thousands bats (or they say millions) start to fly out in the endless herd, and goes, and goes! It really takes more then an hour for them to come out!
And then go to cave... it’s not beautiful Indiana Johns cockroaches, it’s for real! They are big and everywhere down at your legs, and they crunch so you can feel walking on hundreds of them! And the bats are flying all around at the ceiling of the cave , going down so you can feel it next to your faces
It’s for real, and the feeling you can not mix
Go for it: getting into a real movie pays back with lots of impressions!

If your in the area it’s worth going to, I’m living in ratchaburi and put it off for months and finally went last night and was absolutely blown away!!!! It started around 530pm or so, I stayed over 20 mins and they were still going strong, only left cause I didn’t want to ride my bike back in the dark.. there’s a grass area to wait for them and can see them come out of the hill, but then I went down the other end past the market to get a way better view of them and pics

Place obviously isn't among top picks at tourist. It's quite away from other atractions. But natural show which starts at dusk is unic. First falcons came for a dinner. They wait in the air above the cave for the first bats. In few minutes after that live stream of millions bats begins. It is something to remember to me.
