About
Khao Sok is an incredible national park in southern Thailand full of limestone cliffs, caves, waterfalls, and some of the best-preserved jungle habitat in the country, The forests here are so thick they're almost inaccessible, but a dam has created a huge reservoir right in the middle of the park. Traveling by boat on Cheow Lan Lake lets you get right up close to the jungle. Most people book either a one-day tour two-day or a three-day visit with an overnight. Stay at one of the floating bungalows on the lake. These trips usually include a jungle trek, a cave visit, birdwatching, and a wildlife safari by boat. The caves are really cool and even better in the dry season when you can explore deeper inside them. Khao Sok is one of the rainiest parts of Thailand and even in the dry season, there's a good chance you'll get rain. Definitely don't let that stop you. If you're interested in visiting Khao Sok, Check our website for everything you need to know about planning your trip.

Complete organised personal itinerary + 100% of the time in contact with organisation. We thought at first it might be a bad investment but we were so so wrong. We bought the most luxurious package with glamping and rafthouse. The glamping was Amazing. We got the honeymoon suite and oh my god I would like to stay there to read a book for my whole life. The raft house had an amazing view, but the luxury aspect was more average to high average of what you expect in Thai/SE-asia.
So if you can, take the glamping:D
Also we got to whatsapp our personal preferences for activities.
The business told us leaving and pick-up times, organised pickup and drop off before and after the tour (for a fee) and we did not have to worry about anything.
Even a small thing we experienced which was not nice, the owner took our opinion and made it his problem, not ours. Very nice.
Also we had perfect, private guides everywhere, especially Mr Nok took good care of us at the lake. He spoke perfect English. He made sure our dinner was ready on time and getting special requests in for us :D. Also all park fees were taken care of and transport everywhere was included. All food was included ( and water, not Special drinks).
A special mention to the lake experience where we went on a small safari with our private longtail boat, Mr Nok and the driver went out of their way to personalize our trip. The hike previous to the safari took less long because we walk fast and sporty, so we laid for 1 hour and 15 minutes still and silent in the water near the Forrest looking at leaves and trees shaking, and bamboo breaking, knowing an elephant was near.
Nok said he feels and predicts that elephants go down to the water after eating, and sure enough, after the long wait we got to see not one elephant, but also it's baby, for 25 minutes they swam together, bathed together and ate together. All the while we were enjoying with them (and with Nok and driver which was very nice to see them loving the animals possibly even more). This experience is off course mostly lucky, but Nok brought us to the right spot and would have brought us further if we would not have seen something immediately. And that is the beauty, you paid already, he is just going to make the trip perfect to your needs after that.
We took the most luxurious package with a 25% discount (because of rain/low-season) which included all these luxurious overnight stays and dinner fees/park fees. It is expensive, but if you except that this is the way to go.

Excellent trip to Khao Sok National Park. We were lucky to witness wild elephants on the edge of the beautiful lake, and our night safari was exciting and fun. All communication and transportation was straight forward and easy. Highly recommend traveling with Khao Sok Travel if you're looking for a no-frills adventure and great way to see one of the most gorgeous places in the world.

What an incredible experience we had Yu as our Tour Guide and he was amazing, we felt really fortunate that he was our guide, so knowledgeable and made the trip even more special.
We were picked up from Krabi Pier again lovely people who collected us.
Our first night in The Tree House was stunning, we did have a power cut but that was sorted very efficiently so no complaints there,
Our elephant bathing experience was very special myself and Dean loved this.
Yu took us on a jungle trek this was fantastic we saw so much, again Yu knew so much about insects and animals and took some great photos for us,
When we got to Khao Sok lake, I was mesmerised the views were just stunning.
We stayed on one of the floating bungalows again beautiful views and kind people.
We went on our longtail and Yu had a message to say the wild elephants were washing, well straight away we went and spent 2 hours watching this beautiful animals.
I felt so lucky to be there for a long period of time as our tour was private that made it much more flexible and more of an experience.
100% the best part of our 3 week holiday, even writing this review makes me smile because it was wonderful and Yu was just great.
Would defiantly recommend Khao Sok Travel and we would defiantly use them again :)

We booked a half day, half night jungle tour by Khao Sok travel for a family of 5. We paid 12500 bath for this trip. They were supposed to pick us up at 15:30, but didn't show at that time. We called them several times and reached out via whatsapp. No communication came from them, they kept saying they would be there in 5 minutes but they arrived more than an hour too late. From there it was another hour drive to the park.
The 'jungle tour' was a walk down a path which seems to be the main road trough the jungle (nothing special). We ended up at the end point 1.5 hour later. Because of the late pickup there was no time to swim or help with cooking as they advertised. We had to go back really soon as the park closes at 2130 pm.
Our tourguide Bon was very nice and spotted some animals, her food was also good.
After the tour I tried to be in contact with the company to talk about the late pickup and us not being able to do all the activities. There was absolutely no problem solving from their side and they even ended up ignoring my messages? I was very disappointed as we paid a lot of money for a tour that was not how they pretend it to be and not worth the money.
For this I would not recommend the half day, half night tour or the company Khao Sok Travel. I can't find them on Google maps and the 'bad' reviews don't show.

The delay on that date was because wild elephants had come to find food on the forest trails. Everyone had to step aside and wait until the elephant had gone. So we hiked carefully. Because of this, we cannot cook food in the forest. Our guide then takes you to dinner at your accommodation. in return To complete the program We apologize for this uncontrollable situation.

One of our trip highlights and a hidden gem in Thailand. Beautiful scenery and unique stay on floating resorts in the lake/reservoir. We stayed at the Panvaree resort and had great accommodations, inclusive meals, tour guide, boat transit on the lake, and private shuttle to/from Phuket. We booked through Khao Sok Travel company which made the experience painless. Be aware that there are very limited rooms in some of the floating resorts like Panvaree so you will need to book months in advance.

We, a family of four, had booked and paid for a two hour long canoe experience along Khao Sok river. We drove with our own car to the meeting point, a restaurant, well ahead of schedule. no one was there to meet us though and the lady at the restaurant, who seemed to be some kind of canoe organizer her self, couldn’t speak any English. with the help of another tour guide who spoke English, and whats up contact with the travel agency, we learnt that they had overbooked the canoes and no paddler could take us on the river.
After one hour of waiting the lady some how fixed two canoes for us with paddlers and we got one hour on the river. We wanted half a refund from Khao Sok Travel because we didn’t get what we paid for but they denied this request.
Don’t book through this company and overbooking the canoes seems to be a common problem over all. The rain forest and the river was amazing though!

Thank you for your feedback, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you experienced.
The tour you booked was a one-day tour, and during that time it was the New Year holiday season, which attracted a large number of tourists. We had arranged the canoe trip with our partner company, but due to the high volume of tourists, their service and management may not have been as efficient as expected, resulting in the delay.
We apologize once again for the experience that did not meet your expectations. We have addressed this issue with our partner to ensure that such incidents do not happen again in the future.
We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you and your family again so that you can enjoy a smooth and memorable experience with us.

We had a magical day out on the Cheow Lan lake. First we toured the lake extensively, with ample opportunity for sightseeing and pictures. We then set foot on land on the bottom of the Kraisorn hill. The trek was surprising and exhilarating. We had the best guide ever during the whole day, her name is Apple and she showed us a lot, was extremely friendly and kept us laughing the whole time. She took more than 50 photos of us and shared them afterwards! The trek is quite challenging but also let's you enjoy the rougher parts of the jungle, where the majority of tourists don't come. The viewpoint itself was an absolute highlight. Afterwards, the private boat with it's own captain, took us and Apple to the restaurant where we had an authentic and yummy lunch with fish, salad, curry and other thai specialties. We had ample opportunity to swim at this spot before heading back. The trip lasted from 10 AM to 17PM and although not the cheapest, was definitely worth it. Water, lunch and little snacks were also all provided for. Great memories thanks to the vista's and our guide, Apple!

Thank you so much for your lovely and detailed review! 😊 We’re thrilled to hear that you had such an amazing and joyful experience exploring Cheow Lan Lake and enjoyed the exciting and beautiful trek through nature.
Apple will be delighted to know that you appreciated her service, friendliness, humor, and the attention she provided to make this trip a truly memorable one for you.
We believe that getting to enjoy the peaceful viewpoints and untouched natural beauty made this trip special, and we’re glad you loved the authentic Thai food and the refreshing swim during your break as well.
Thank you once again for your kind words and for sharing your experience. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future! 🏞️✨

Overall we had a good time with the Khao Sok Travel company. The booking process was difficult when trying to pay securely from the UK.
We were doing the 3 day tour (2 nights) first night was a stay at the floating bungalows and the 2nd night was at the magical mountain resort. Both were amazing places to stay and staff were lovely.
Tours were well organised and tour guides Pim (day 1) and Bon (day 2) were absolutely lovely people.
In fact we asked Bon not to take us to the elephant bathing as these places are unethical and go against what we believe. Khao Sok Travel company should remove this as an option!
Bon took us on an amazing hike instead and incorporated some night time wildlife spotting.
Communication with Khao Sok Travel was somewhat disjointed and there were points where we were left uninformed.
Also, for what we paid I would say it was slightly overpriced. Hence the 4 star review and not 5.

We booked a 'luxury' tour with Khao Sok Travel and what we received was noooot luxury in the slightest.
We booked for 4 adults on the 3D2N tour and when we were picked up we were told the company had booked us 1 family room, rather than 2 double rooms.
On day 1 we went to see elephants and we were pretty put off by the whole situation. If we'd known where was booked then we'd not have gone - but you're not told ANYTHING, and you just need to go with the flow. We then went on a bamboo raft, which again seemed super dodgy and unofficial. But we were given a cup of coffee at the end which was good I guess?...
Throughout the 3 days, we didn't have a guide. When someone did turn up to take us to the floating accommodation she didn't really have a clue. We were essentially left to our own devices and were told nothing about the area. Everything seemed to happen by luck and we weren't told anything about our itinerary, what we needed or when we'd be going.
We were meant to have a private boat and instead we shared with 6 other people, and we had the only boat without a cover so we were absolutely soaked. Hey ho. If we didn't laugh we'd cry - and we met multiple other people in the same situation with this company. Again, tried to put us in a family room, and food at the floating accommodation was just whatever they had cooked that day. No choice which is ok usually, but when you're on a luxury trip... Not so much.
While Khao Sok is beautiful, and we had fun in spite of the situation, we think that the tour company took the mic. We didn't get what we paid for and would advise others to look elsewhere or try to book direct with the accommodation instead of going through third parties. Would not recommend.

It has been a wonderful experience!
Although in the height of the rainy season it was absolutely worth it.
We were lucky enough to be able to do all the experiences on our own or just the two of us plus the guide.
The first day, after an excellent lunch overlooking the jungle, we went to bathe an elephant after completely muddying it, we were able to play with it and have a lot of fun! Following a beautiful tour along the river where we were able to slide on a raft and enjoy the tranquility and the beautiful landscape.
The following day we reached the Khao Sok natural park where our expert guide Nok took us on a boat ride admiring the breathtaking views.
In the afternoon he accompanied us to visit a cave with stupendous stalactites and stalagmites, to get there Nok guided us in a beautiful path in the middle of the jungle where we were lucky enough to be able to spot wild monkeys and learn many characteristics of the local flora, on the way on the way back we even saw a herd of elephants on the shore with their young.
In the evening we stayed in floating houses, a truly beautiful and evocative location, where in the morning with the first light of dawn our guide took us on a kayak safari where in silence we once again admired beautiful landscapes and wild animals!
Thanks to our guide Nok for the expert advice and the infinite kindness and thoughtfulness of these days.
I recommend everyone to do it
