    Day Trip to KhiriWong
Visited whilst travelling from Phatthalung to NST, lovely village, clean and fresh air. Number of shop and stalls selling lots of produce and gifts along with market stalls selling fruit, veg and other foodstuff. Lovely River with Cafe & Restaurant nearby plus great for a swim to cool off or have a BBQ. Great few hours spent here.

    Take a Deep Breath
First time visit!!! Even I have family stay in Lan Saka. Very high expected for this place because by the concept “Best air in Thailand” High temperature in day time. Short road along the river, end of the road that can see the bridge and also can jump to the water. Far away can see the mountain on top have a must all the time. Water in the river quite clean and clear. Not many activities at there, small coffee shop local product and motorbike carry something ride up and down from the mountain. One of recommended place.

    Crystal waters
This is a village along the side of the cleanest river I have ever seen in Thailand, and nestled among steep green mountains. The are two or three nice pedestrian suspension bridges across the river which has cafes and restaurants on both sides. The sort of place to sit, contemplate and relax.

Friendly locals with nice food. Warm mountain river rock pools to swim in. Local restaurants on the riverside to eat, relax and interact with local tourists. If this is kind of your holiday idea, you won't be disappointed here.
As we drove up here, we are not sure about the local transport link. But if you ask before making your way up here, people here will be more than happy to help you(contact number is on one of the photos I uploaded).

Khiriwong is a village in Nakhon Si Thammarat, Southern province on the Gulf of Thailand. It is an ounce by the authority the best ozone area in Thailand. It is located in Lan Saka district sone 20 kilometers from downtown and takes 49 minutes by car. You can appreciate the way of life if local people here among the nature surrounding by mountains which is reflects in it's name "Kiri wong" meaning surrounded by mountains. There are many home stat in the village ranging from 400-500-809-1,000 baht/night depends on the size, facilities and wether it is air conditioned or not. You can rent a bike and ride along the brook, even dip yourself in the brook in the morning or late afternoon would be perfect. There are a lot of Hosewife group occupation such as local weaving and dying Batique which you can witness the local people free hand painting on the whole piece of cloth Visit during May-July and you can enjoy variety of fruits fresh from the farm , e.g. rambootan, durian, mangosteen, varieties of banana, Jack fruits, etc. Recommended for those who love nature and tired off city life.

Fantastic hideaway in the mountains. The water is very inviting. 3 day stay would be nice with just enough to keep busy. The drive to the mountain was easy.

This is a small village of local craftsmen producing batik clothing, desserts, and herbal medicine. It's a nice place to walk around and enjoy the ambiance. They have shows of how they produce their good from start to finish. I enjoyed the demonstration because it a dying art form. There a few hotel and small resorts for overnight stay. The air is clean and the people are extremely friendly. Worth a visit.

Drove from Nakon Sri Thammarat to Kiriwong Village on a scooter, it was a pleasant drive surrounded with hills and trees. Kiriwong village was more than I expected to be fair, lots of little places to stop and eat, local food which was not expensive at all, shops to buy bit's and pieces like T'shirts ect. Many people hire bicycles and enjoy the day riding round, city type bicycles, the road is average, the waterfall/stream is relaxing and it was nice to walk down it a bit and find a spot on the rocks to bake in the sun whilst my friend knitted stuff.

This trip, we were bagpackers. We took flight to Nakorn Sri Thammarat, stayed over night at Mandy Nok Hotel nearby Robinson. There was very nice decoration, full of Lord Buddha's paintings and sculptures, but there was cheap. We needed to move on for our main destination, Kiriwong Village. We took motorcycle in front of Robinson, 40 THB each, to Wat Pra Tard, then, took blue pickup truck to Archeewa, 10 THB each. We walked into narrow walk way to another street, turned right at the conner to take another blue pickup truck to Kiriwong Village, 30-40 THB each. I sounded like long journey but not at all, approximately an hour. The pickup truck dropped us in front of the homestay we booked. After checking in, we rented bicycles, 50 THB per day. Riding bikes around the villages, Kiriwong and Kirithong was great impression, we would never forget. Nice breath, nice people, unique southern language. Mid of August till December is right time to visit, it is fruits season. Durian, kanoon, mangosteen... about 35 THB >>> per kilogram. You will enjoy!!! One night stay was too short. We wanted to spend more time there, but better next time, our boss might kill us, taking day off on Monday and Tuesday, that's the reason. HOPE YOU ENJOY YOUR TRIP & HELP TO KEEP IT CLEAN.

Is the most popular tourist destination and low-cost housing village Life does not have to rush. Like charging the battery for life and family Children have played water for as long as they want clear water and have fish that people in the village do not harm each other. Villagers in the village are very kind. Ask for a place to stay Everyone will hurry to answer with a very hospitable. Monday morning, there is a market to watch local products. Mangosteen and durian are delicious.

Khiri Wong Village is a village that still preserves the most beautiful environment and nature of Nakhon Si Thammarat and Thailand. To experience the river, stream flowing through the center of the village. And dine by the river that can see all of the rivers, streams and valleys that are my thing. Friends and family like most What should be taken is a camera. Shoes for walking in the water or sandals.
