This is one of the most amazing temples I have seen so far. Breath taking views of the mountains looking towards Lao. The table area outside of the temple are just amazing. If you are in ubon area this is a must see. Please look at the pictures I posted on this.

Also known as Wat Sirindhorn Wararam, Stunningly decorated monument and place of worship located on the top of a hill. Besides the beauty of the shrine you are also being rewarded with a breathtaking panoramic view over the Sirindhorn Lake and the mountains over the Laotian border on the other side.
After sunset it gets lit up with an amazing combination of blue and golden colors. I would defifinitively come back here again.

This is indeed a magic place. Not only for the beautiful temple or the glowing part. It’s also for the surrounding areas. You should be some time before sunset to have time to explore during daytime. Then after sunset magic will happens...

I have ever been there both at daytime and nighttime. To get photos at daytime you will get the original colors of the Wat(temple) and at nighttime, you will get the more fantastic lights for photos

Free to visit.
Try to reach before sunset for a great view.
Make your way to the back of the temple to see the night glow.
Very good visit but can be busy so be ready for that.

We watched the sunset. The temple is very beautiful and we liked watching the sun set over the lake. After dark, the fluorescent stones were amazing and unforgettable.

Beautiful temple with nice views of the mountain range in Lao and of the Chong Mek border crossing. Also nice breezes on a hot day.

This Buddhist temple boasts the main hall with nice artwork that is illuminated at dusk. The main artwork is a ceramic tiles wall which is nice to look at during the day but will look very impressive when illuminated. The temple is rather small; you should plan less than an hour for a visit.

Just a few kilometres away, on a hill, there is this Wat Sirinthon Wararam and if you're travelling between Ubol Ratchathani and Pakse it is definitely worth a stop.

TripAdvisor regretfully listed the location quite a bit off; the correct GPS for this temple reads (taken by myself at the site): 15.149308, 105.467736. You need a vehicle to get there; too far off to walk (slightly uphill/downhill) and a challenge to catch the next public transport. Admission is free and you have a wonderful view across the little plateau. On one side the Sirindorn (artificial water dam) lake and on the other side the border post of Chong Mek linking Laos with Thailand.
