My paradise on earth

It's such a charming and nice place to visit during the winter period as you can see lots of trees and flowers as well as the traditional Thai architectures. Sitting on the tour shuttle is fun and enjoyable. Staffs there are nice and they have the shop selling local fruit and vegetable along with a lot of good souvenirs. I wish to come here every year.

Great place to visit

Located in Korat, the farm covered thousands of acres. There’s an entrance fee of around 200 Bahts per person. There’s shuttle tram taking people inside the farm. In there, you’ll find food village, flowers field (millions of them), silk village, etc. we had a great time in there.

First I thought was a place to take photos with flowers etc, and then you continue the tour, aside from the beautiful large swaths of flower beds, there's an Isaan Township for you to see and interact, similar to the ones in Japan, where you get to experience, traditional Isaan Lifestyle, silkworm weaving, how a rice paddy looks, the cultivation process, the whole thing and then you can dine there and have tradtional Isaan food.

It was soo much fun, not just photo taking but to understand how they lived (or are still living) back in the day.

Over-rated!
Dec 2019
We just returned from our December Khao Yai/Khao Kho trip.

Since Jim Thompson Farm is rated a "MUST Visit" attraction in Khao Yai and opens for a limited period in Dec/Jan, we went. Totally a let-down so personally, my family of 4 feel that it is not worth the 1.5-2 hours (per way) journey if you are in Khao Yai and plan to visit this Farm. Please don't waste your time. Other than admiring the flowers nothing much to do there. We read that there is an area where you can see silk worm and a weaving station but when we were there, it's closed and like a ghost town.

Located about 60km from Korat, and apparently only open December /January, this place is well worth a visit, spread out over a few hundred acres of flowers, gardens etc, you can see Isaan style village, food, arts and crafts, even beer, visit the fresh produce market area, buy fruits, Veggie, organically grown, really a great day out, but, it is very very well attended by many thousand of people, but plenty of room everyone, and you can walk between attractions or simply hop on and off the open motorized buses that travel all over the park.

Gets better and better every time we visit
Dec 2019
It's been several years since with visited Jim Thompson's annual event. And this year they had made a real effort to build on past years successes and to increase the number of things to see and do including boat trips. I do hope that they continue this trend every year to come and I wish them great success.

Amazing combination of flowers nd contemporary art
Dec 2019
It is worthwhile travelling by road 5 hours from Bangkok to discover this magnificent garden where thousands of flowers are planted in large fields. Amidst the flowers' fields are interesting installations by Thai contemporary artits. In the small lake are delicate old buildings on stilts whose reflects on water are delightful. Open only one month a year in winter, hurry up not to miss this marvel.

A long journey but if you must see the flowers
Dec 2019
The farm entrance fee is pretty minimal which includes a ride on their shuttle bus. There are a total of 5 stations offering a slightly different element of the farm. if you are into flowers, farm animals and local produce and products, then its probably worth the drive. be sure to check the opening hours and season. The farm is opened only during winter seasons i think.

Good place to spend couple of hours outdoors
Dec 2019 • Couples
Vast agricultural area open to public only in December (220 THB entry fee for all). There is a shuttle service operating frequently to bring visitors to most interesting part (around 1 km on foot). We did like colorful display of flowers and sunflowers, issan village was somewhat educating too. There are few workshops for kids. Food is available, cheap, but average in taste, drinks and snacks are horribly sweet. Best thing is that they sell own products on site for good price (fruits and vegetables).
