The Solid Gold Buddha is a must see. It is an extensive complex that houses the Golden Buddha and is worth the stop. The ability to climb stairs is a must. Shoe removal is required to go inside the temple - so wear slip on. Modest dress is requests - knees and shoulder covered, but not required.. They also request that you not step on the door lintel and not show the soles of your feet or point them towards the Buddha - a sign of disrespect. Photos are permitted in the temple. Second & third floor exhibit hours are 8 am to 5 pm Tuesday through Sunday. The Shrine of the Golden Buddha, located on the 4th floor is open 7 days a week 8 am to 5 pm. It is a high tourist area, so expect crowds.

Visiting the temple on the Songkran Holiday of 2016. Like many other "Wats" in this country, this one is truly nice and peaceful. It was brightly sunny when I was there and also not many visitors which made me feel more comfortable. You can found here several large temple and some of them are quite unique in terms of the structure. In one building you can see an "object" which is known as the Buddha's giant footprint. Quite interesting. Moreover there is a river passing by the complex where you can feed the fish while standing on a structured raft. Overall I love the beautiful scenes and peaceful atmosphere here.
