Beautiful view - ONLY last week of Nov. ~ start Dec.
Nov 2020
Beautiful side trip. There are few view points already on the way up the mountain.
Pls. note it is ONLY during last week of Nov. to start of Dec. - other time of the year
it just another hill area...

There are few places of small market on the way - can stop for chicken and rice.

The place itself is well organized with few short trails and balconies to take
pictures.

One of the hidden gems of Thailand
Nov 2020
It had already been said a lot about this place, I just want to put in my own two cents: despite the route towards here consists of numerous steep ascents and seemed to me, in general, quite challenging, but it was definitely worth doing! The fields look spectacular and magnificent, same as landscapes around. So, if you still doubt, visit this place or not, I can say: go for it! The more so as fields bloom in November only, so there are just few days left.

Must visit
Nov 2019
During the month of November, the Mexican sunflower will bloom on entire hill of Doi Mae Ukho. Result is a very beautiful scenic place to visit.

Scenic Views

Not entirely the best season to visit in June — wet weather and zero blooms, but the Forest Park did not disappoint. We went by motorbikes and it was a nice scenic ride throughout

Nice and refreshing park
Feb 2018 • Friends
We visited the park during the week in the morning and there were only few visitors. Waterfalls are not slippery so it's possible to walk inside water. Be careful because ropes seem not in good conditions so climbing could be unsafe. We decided not to risk...

Phantastic Scenery
Nov 2017 • Couples
The flowers are in full blossom only in November and December per year. But then it is a must to visit this special place. All the area is painted in yellow an a lot of visitors - expecially Thai are there and some stay over night in tents or the cars to see the sunset an sunrise.

Amazing fields of yellow
Nov 2016 • Friends
This place seems to be a bit like catnip for the Thais who descend upon the place in droves in November and early December when the flowers are in season, but it is truly beautiful and surprising to discover the already beautiful rolling hills in the Thai mountains covered with Mexican sunflowers.

The google map location for this is accurate, and its also signposted from the main road. The turnoff to Doi Mae U is about about 12km from Khun Yuan on the road to Doi Inthanon and is then about another 12km on a rural road.

There are a few market gardens on the way up - one has a viewing platform and charged a nominal fee for admission to their grounds. The main Tung Bua Tong park is an open public area and there is no admission fee.

Well worth the detor if you are visiting the area in November or very early December - ask the locals if the flowers are in season before making the trip.

Once a year to see the marvelous flower fields which is not from human hands. Here is just like heaven and it is so amazing to be here for moment.

Well, it is not only small place but it spreads wide. If you drive a bike, you would see them along the road.

Tung Bua thong is some thing really famous among Thais, it will be blossom between November and December.

Moreover, people love a road trip, you had better not missed this trip. The way to Tung Bua Thing is so wonderful. You would love it.
