Middle of the road course adequate facilities
May 2018 • Solo
- Clubhouse is subpar but the food is ok

- The course is nice 18 holes and not too hard to play

- Substantial water hazards so you will lose a few balls

- Caddie was helpful

- Booking we easy pretty quiet there in mid May

- I had no issues playing solo

- Reception was useless but she got the English-speaking staff to come help me with taxis and booking so it was fine

- Overall I would come back just to play golf but it's out of the way not as convenient as Santiburi

Great value for a great layout

I tried to get in at Santiburi only to be rejected as a single player by the elitist attitude there. I drove to Happy City and was pleasantly surprised. it was 29 holes and is relatively new. It looks dry and the greens look patchy but don't be deceived. I'm an 9 handicapper and this course was in fantastic shape. great lies on the fairways. The greens rolled flat and true and were fast. This is a new development by a Korean businessman who has built condos on the site. Your fee lets you use the very large fitness center and beautiful swimming pool also. The course was wide open for play, but I suspect it will get busier as it gets known. I really enjoyed myself here. One thing though. Being 29 holes (not 27) they change a couple of the holes daily. That is, you can fire down one fairway only to be doglegged to a different green the next day. The staff and caddies were very friendly. However, the lady caddies are pretty inexperienced. Their English is limited and they haven't learnt course yardages yet not knowing how far bunkers are off the tee etc. I thought this was a good track and it will only improve with time. Keep it up.
