The charming fisherman village is all about mantis shrimp. We saw several fisherman boats with hundreds of mantis shrimps. Some of them managed to free from the fisherman net and crawled back to the sea. Our guide told us that most of mantis shrimps sold in the east part of Thailand are from this village. We walked about 600 m from the bridge to a hashery at the end of the village where Mai Rut canal empties into the gulf of Thailand. There are many mantis shrimp (and other seafood) dishes sold at very cheap price. We enjoyed mantis shrimp noodle (70 baht) and deep-fried mantis shrimp roll (170 baht ; 10 chunks). Fresh & Delicious.
