Green Valley is still a very good course
Sep 2018 • Couples
With some trepidation I read other reviews and wondered whether GC was still as good as old - it used to be my favourite course 20 years ago. So we played there: 9 holes on Friday (got rained off) and then again 18 holes on Sunday.
All I can say is the course is still good and there was no obvious signs of being overrun by golfers of any particular persuasion other than Pattaya Sports Club.
We did play only the green Valley course and local advice was this is still kept nicely (which we agreed with), but that the St Andrews and Silky Oaks courses are not so well kept.
Anyway the course is good the caddies OK (though variable) and the clubhouse seems a little tired.
Would I play there again - definitely

Full of Korean Golfers
Feb 2018 • Friends
This used to be a very plesent golf course. Perhaps a little unkept but you all play with the same disadvantage. I understand there has been some Korean investment to improve both the golf course and club house BUT this has resulted in an unpresented number of Korean golfers taking all the tee off times and playing to their own agenda. Unfortunate !

Creepy n old n not recommended
Jan 2018 • Family
Room was old, The top of the bed was so terrible n look dirty.
Green Blanket was so old and flat ,I asked them why dont they have a cover sheet for blanket and they said No!

so what we found when check in were bed n 2 old green blankets!!!

So we had to wait for my friend to chk in n my friend told me that they do have cover for blanket in her room, then I asked them again why my room has none!

Also the staff threw the green blanket that I put my cloths on it into the floor while they put the coversheet and still left the green ones for us.

The green ones were like they has used it for over decade. flat and old

Staff also left the mop in my room as well .

Golf cart was out of batteryand spend so long time to get a new one , cannot finish 18 hole due to waiting the cart.

the balcony never be cleaned , found big web of the spider.

Swimming pool is dirty.

Rayong Green Valley Golf Club
Dec 2016 • Friends
Thoroughly enjoyed playing at Rayong Green Valley which is part of a 3 course set up including Silky Oaks and St Andrews 2000 (Don't be fooled by the name).

Rayong GV was a nice picturesque course, in need of a little more love and attention as some of the fairways where not great, but the greens where very good, albeit it very quick indeed for a high handicapper.

Worth the money, but play in the week as the cost is definitely not worth the weekend rate, you can walk which is great and the caddies where average...

Would I play again...yes !!

Sad to see
Dec 2016 • Friends
This once great golf course has sadly gone down hill over the last year.
Poor maintanance and management has killed what was the best course in the area.
Poor conditions and high prices make this a course to miss.
Such a shame but not worth the hight green fee.

在此住宿一次可以體驗三座球場
Sep 2016 • Friends

Over-rated golf track
Apr 2016 • Friends
The overall impression of this course which was being prepared for a PGA event left us looking for something positive to say about it.

The fairways were poorly kept, but green (+)
Greens patchy and not true.
Areas between fairways unkempt jungle full of plastic rubbish.

The clubhouse had a selection of restaurants, service was poor and food worse.
Swimming pool had many broken tiles both in water and surrounding, I cut my foot
Not safe.

Sorry wil not be returning

I have been living in Pattaya, Thailand, on and off for 24 years and it is very easy to say that the main reasons are the golf courses within 45 minutes. Yes, the courses are great and cheap. Yes the weather is also a big attraction but the main part for me are all the fellow golfers that I meet here of every nationality. Very easy to build up friendships with some great people.
I am a member at Green Valley and not only is it a beautiful Peter Thompson designed course but I find the caddies the most knowledgeable and friendly. It also has the advantage of having 3 courses from one clubhouse. One small note that impressed me was that of the 350 baht ( US $11 ) caddy fee 50 baht is there to cover insurance for the caddies. I

Only Hotel and restaurant
Mar 2016 • Family
I haven't pLayed golf. But I stayed twice in the hotel which was clean and reasonable priced. Breakfast was good.
BUT: No dinner after 7:30! In the whole big venue with 3 or 4 restaurants and coffee shops there is not over ONE that serves any food (not even sandwiches) after 7:30 pm! Incredible! You have 2 choices: Either buy the noddles from the vending machine and beg for hot water at the reception or take your car and drive about 20 minutes until you find a place to eat. This is NO GOOD SERVICE!

Great facility and golf course
Dec 2015 • Friends
We played here one day on our recent golf trip and what a great facility this was. Great clubhouse, a couple of different restaurants to choose from for the 19th hole. The course in excellent shape, was a fun track, challenging but not too hard for the average golfer. Caddies were very good here too.
