I had a great experiences playing there. The services are very good since I arrived and left the course. Foods are great at reasonable prices, caddies are friendly and helpful as I needed on the course. Will definitely come back soon!

Went along with my husband who plays golf, and usually when I watch the club charges 400 baht for me. This club charged 1300. Absolute rip off. It was more than my husbands green fee! The course was just average, drink stops poorly stocked, restaurant food was poor. Caddy was friendly though. Don’t bother coming here!

As a long time golf playing resident of Bangkok, Royal Lakeside has aways been a popular course due to the convenience of travel from Bangkok, normally excellent greens, wide open fairways, a pleasant breeze from the nearby sea & the wallet friendly green fees. The facilities such as the restaurant, locker rooms and putting green are good.

However, this course does have a huge problem in the high season at weekends, it is over-booked & they do not enough caddies. 1st world problem you think, but you cannot start your round without a course caddy. On Sunday, we had a 12.04 tee time and we did not start until 12.45 as the course did not have any caddies available. They use the same caddies from the morning rounds for the afternoon rounds. If the morning starts are either slow or late, this has a knock on effect to the afternoon start times. This also generally means that if you are walking, your caddy will be understandably tired from the morning, which hardly her fault.

This is an expensive days golf even in the low season as its busy all the year round! However, it' still worth the drive from Pattaya and up past Chonburi just to play over this outstanding course.
It's right on the Bankapong River so it can be soft after overnight rain and the electric carts have to stay on the concrete pathways.
The quality of golf is superb and the clubhouse has luxury changing facilities and the staff provides matching service for food and drinks.
This golf club is on the JAL Golf Club list and attracts golfers down from Bangkok.

Nice green and caddies. Smooth and easy golf course, simple and windy. The locker room is clean and bright. The green fee price is affordable.

There are over two dozen golf courses on the Eastern Seaboard of Thailand and Royal Lakeside is by far the best.
It's not just the immaculate golf course, but also the superb clubhouse and well trained staff. It is difficult to find any fault at all about this clug.
Many of the top golf courses have priced themselves out of the market for the high season from November to April. . Royal Lakeside has only raised their rates slightly going into the high season and will continue to attract its regular clients.

This remains one of the best golf courses on the Eastern Seaboard of Thailand. It is about half-way between Bangkok and Pattaya and gets golfers from both areas.
The clubhouse and service are outstanding and the 18-hole golf course is maintained to the same high standard.
The caddies are well trained, friendly and try to make everyone welcome at their course.
Our only complaint is that they allow groups of up to six golfers to play together -something that would happen in no other country in the world - and this slows play to a standstill.
We were held up[ by a group of six ahead of us at the 10th tee and were forced to go back and play the first nine holes over again. This was the only way we could hope to finish our golf before darkness came down!

Royal Lakeside Golf Club outside Chonburi is without doubt the best golf course on Thailand's Eastern Seaboard. It is over one hours drive from Pattaya but well worth the time and effort required to find it!
This golf course must have been in the countryside when it was first built, but its now surrounded by industrial estates. However, it is built on the banks of the Bankapong River and features clear ponds and streams throughout. The fairways are wide and there are no major water hazards, apart from ne pare 3 over a lake.
The club ohouse is superb - best of any golf club that I have visited with excellent service in the air-conditioned dining room and on the outside terrace.
Our one criticism is that the club allow not just five-ball, but six-ball groups to play together. We caught up one such group at the 10th and it was obvious that we were going to be stuck behind them for the next three hours to play 9 holes.
This was simply not acceptable and we had to be back and play the first nine all over again.
This is totally against the Rules of Golf and and clubs should ban such group sunless they are the last group of the day to play!

The golf course is well maintained however some putting green are filled with dusk of sand. Food in the club also needs improvements.
