About
Stefania’s cooking lessons are filled with the joy and passion that she brings to food, cooking and the rest of her life. She believes that food reveals much about the land it comes from. She likes to start classes with a visit to local markets, butchers and gardens; followed by a hands-on lesson that guides you through the preparation of an entire meal and ends with enjoying what you just created

My wife and I did a cooking class with Stefania (Pasta al Pesto) on October 21, 2018 as part of our honeymoon. Location is just outside of Greve in the ancient hilltop village of Montefioralle in Stefania's actual house. This is not some commercialized cooking class with 20 other people. Stefania limits the size of her class and truly teaches every aspect of cooking the meal that she has planned. The finished product was multiple course meal that the everybody in the class helped prepare with Stefania's guidance. I truly do not think you could get a more authentic Italian cooking class experience and would recommend her class to anybody. In fact, if I am ever back in the region I would take her class again.

My wife and I took a class with Stefania and are so glad we did! She offered us an amazing authentic experience to learn about both the techniques and the history that shaped them, while guiding us towards a delicious meal. As a gift for taking the class, you also leave with a copy of her cookbook which we are keen to try many items from. Stefania is warm, welcoming, and a great cook - HIGHLY recommended!

Includes a pasta course (we made handmade fettucine with a from-scratch pomodoro/tomato sauce), second course (milk-poached pork loin with oven roasted tomatoes), dessert (tiramisu), plus a glass of local Chianti Classico wine.

This was the Tuscany experience we were looking for. We stumbled across this by accident and booked for the next day. Stefania is superb in every way. Being invited into her Cucina was something special. We had our 9 year old son with us and she was fabulous in including him in everything we did. We prepared a three-course lunch which was incredible. Stefania prides herself on cooking simple food well and the flavours were incredible. A real bonus was getting a copy of her book to take away with 200 recipes and an apron to keep and remember the visit by. We loved this and highly recommend.

I spent a wonderful rainy day in the kitchen with Stefania and a small group of other students learning some of Stefania's family recipes. She is passionate about food and the freshness of the ingredients. In our particular class we learned to make fennel gratin, lemon chicken, ravioli, and tiramisu. She also showed us how to make soup with the leftover veggies. Everything was delicious. Highly recommended!

My wife and I recent took cooking classes with Stefania in her home and what a treat! From the moment you walked in to the time you leave you always felt welcomed and well looked after. Our experience lasted about 5 hours and we cooked with 3 other couples in Stefania‘s kitchen then ate what we made in a lovely set dining room.

Stefania is a very patient teacher and you can tell she is passionate about what she does. Watching her is like watching an artist. We learned how to make pasta by hand, a lovely chicken dish with a leeks and cheese sauce, a vegetable dish of pumpkin and potatoes. We also made Tiramisu that was so delicious and easy to make. We met new friends from around the world and especially Stefania! She is a delight.

We coupled this with a visit to the Montefioralle vineyard next door (need an appointment) and a walkabout in the medieval village made for an absolutely magical day.

My husband and I joined Stefania’s cooking class and it was the night of our 2 week stay in Italy. Stefania is a wealth of knowledge and had lots of cooking tips and history about cooking in the region. We stayed in Florence and wanted an authentic cooking experience so we drive to her small town near Greve and we’re so glad we did! We made Osso Buco, asparagus ravioli, baked onions and biscotti. All was amazing and so much fun! We’re home now and already purchased a pasta machine and just made the zucchini ravioli. Grazie Mille Stefania!

Our group of 6 adults took a cooking class with Stefania and it was amazing from start to finish. She is so warm and friendly, her kitchen looks like something out of an Italian painting. The village of Montefioralle is equally as beautiful and quaint. We made homemade pasta with tomato and pesto sauces, tiramisu, and chicken breasts stuffed with truffles and mushrooms. The truffles were courtesy of Stefani's neighbor and his trusty truffle-finding dog! All of the ingredients were fresh and local, the instructions were very clear, the class was fun and the eating was even MORE fun! Highly recommend taking a day away to slow down and enjoy Italian food as it was meant to be enjoyed!

I took this class with my 15 year old daughter and another teenager family friend (13 year old boy). We had the best time. My daughter is the only cook among us but Stefania made it fun, easy and interesting for each of us. We made a four course meal and then sat down at a beautiful table to eat it all. I think it was the best meal I had while in Italy, and I had a lot of great meals. It was such a confidence booster that I immediately ordered a pasta maker that was waiting for us when we returned home. We're making ravioli tonight and can't wait to test out or skills on our own. There are a lot of cooking classes out there (I feel like I read about all of them!) but I'm super happy I went with this one. Highly recommend.

My husband and I recently took a cooking class at pasta al pesto with Stefania and it was nothing short of superb! As people with little cooking experience, Stefania made us feel comfortable in the kitchen sharing a wealth of knowledge and helping us to create the most delicious meal made with organic products as well as both health and taste in mind! Stefania is an amazing teacher and her personal kitchen that she shares with the class is perfection! Thank you Stefania for this unforgettable experience!
