Overview

Rosemary Beach is a neo-traditional town located on northwest Florida's gulf coast, between Panama City and Destin, at the eastern end of Scenic Route 30A. Easily accessible by air or by car, the town is a 30-minute drive from the Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport and a one-hour drive from the Fort Walton Beach Okaloosa Airport. The Rosemary Beach Land Company and President Patrick Bienvenue had a vision they wanted to share with the world. In 1995, that vision became a reality and Rosemary Beach was born. Rosemary Beach Land Company’s development plan is founded in the principles of New Urbanism and Traditional Neighborhood Development. Inspired by other classic beach towns, the 107-acre, gulf-front town of Rosemary Beach was designed to bring back the notions of community, neighborhood and convenience. In other words, this slice of heaven on earth offers residents the opportunity to live and work in paradise. In their search for paradise, people often travel to the far corners of the earth, only to come up empty-handed. In reality, paradise is a lot closer than most people think. Long stretches of pristine beaches made up of the brightest of white sands. Refreshing breezes blowing off the waters of the Gulf of Mexico. The peace and tranquility of gently lapping surf, singing gulls and sandpipers. These are things that have been quietly awaiting discovery in a section of Florida's panhandle. These are the ingredients that make up the town Rosemary Beach--paradise found.Residents of Rosemary Beach are lucky to not only live and work here, but also to have the opportunity to play here. When work is finished and the rest of the errands can wait, Rosemary Beach is the perfect location for a vacation. Mild year-round temperatures, yet still a change of season; spectacular beaches free from crowds; the natural beauty of a beach-side destination located on a designated scenic road; aesthetically-pleasing architecture and award-winning, expertly-designed layout; convenient and quaint town center, amenities such as tennis courts, pools, dune walkovers to the beach and lots of green areas in which to relax; these are the qualities of the new paradise of Rosemary Beach.

Took a day trip here from Panama City Beach. It was wonderful to get away from all the congestion and Noise of that location. Rosemary Beach was like a different place in time. Beautiful buildings, great shopping and wonderful restaurants. Wish our visit could have...More

This is our fourth stay renting a cottage in Rosemary Beach. So far we hadn't had a bad experience. Unfortunately this time we stayed at the Barbados cottage and it was so disappointing. First of all, the pictures show a bunk bed room, which looked...More

The Rosemary beach development tries to hard and falls short. The developer crammed too many lots into a small space and allowed very cheap construction standards. The finishes inside the house are a cheap as money can buy and I have little doubt that none...More

My family is considering renting a house for a vacation mid-June 2019 right when school gets out (my parents, husband, and kids ages 4 and 7). I’ve read very different reviews about crowds. Some people have said the beach is crazy, shoulder to shoulder with teenagers playing loud music and acting crazy. Others have said it’s not crowded, nice and quiet, great for families. I’m worried that it’ll be crazy and stressful if we go right at the start of summer vacation as opposed to May. Any insight on crowds from people who have experienced it at that time of year, mid-June? Also wondering about ease of getting to restaurants/other things to do because some have said you can’t find parking and walking/biking is best. However, neither of my parents may be up for much of a walk. Thanks!

Agree with previous reviewer that you'll have good luck at restaurants if you eat a bit earlier, before 7pm. IMO, driving & parking in Rosemary Beach is not a good idea. The distances aren't that far, a mile max, so you... More
