A very pleasant afternoon had understanding the path and processes involved in Wine production. I started the afternoon as a Wine peasant, and ended not much further forward other than at least a realisation of what went on, and what to expect from a fine Wine. Jonathan whose Vineyard it is, covered all the aspects of the change from a humble grape into Wine, and explained the varieties he grew. The fact being English and giving the tour in English was a really welcomed break from having to deal with translation. The trip ended with a very pleasant tasting session complete with nibbles. Without doubt I thought that their ‘Le Secret’ was excellent, and brought a few bottles home with me. If I’m ever back in the area again I would happily spend a few hours there hopefully understanding the techniques a little more.

My small travel group booked a wine tasting at a small, locally-owned vineyard. The winery currently makes eleven wines, without irrigation, allowing the vintage that mother nature blessed to occure, Really enjoyed a white LA Terre Promised, which featured a granache grape in the blended recipe. We tried four reds an Le Secret was tops for me.

We had a great tour at the vineyard. It was great having an English winemaker explain the process without a language barrier and learning about the different techniques. Once back at the winery it was lovely to try the different wines (and buy some too!). Jonathan and Rachael are so friendly and easy going you can really enjoy learning about the process even if your not a big wine fan. Would definately recommend

I'm admittedly a wine novice and didn't know what to expect from this tour, but it was truly a great experience. Jonathan was a friendly, engaging guide who explained the details of his wine-making philosophy, fermenting/aging process, and the complexities of wine-making in the Roussillon region. He never made me feel dumb for my relative wine ignorance, and his warm candor encouraged me to ask any question I had and learn a great deal about his practice of viticulture. He accommodated my friend and I for a tour despite it very much being the wine-making "off season," and kindly cut some rustic sausage for us during the tasting. And the wine? Delicious!

Having never visited a vineyard before I was slightly apprehensive about what I was going to expect, not knowing what to smell or taste however Jonathon was extremely welcoming and friendly making the experience thoroughly enjoyable! Talking at good lengths about wine making and the local area along with a fantastic one on one tasting with a great depth of knowledge and insight I not only tasted some delicious wine I also received a detailed insight into the art of wine making. Leaving very satisfied and a few bottles of wine heavier I can definitely recommend this vineyard for a visit, 5/5!
