My first alpaca walk in the beautiful surroundings of Whinlatter Forest in the Lake District. Nick, our guide, was very knowledgeable about the alpacas and each of their personalities and his love of the animals was obvious. Nick, Beast, Freddie and Elliot (the alpacas) were excellent company. I would highly recommend this for children and adults. It was an interesting and relaxing experience and the walk was fairly gentle. We also got to feed the alpacas at the end of the walk.

My family was visiting from Canada and was recommended to do the walk at the estate by my UK fam. Fantastic experience all around. Nick was an amazing guide! His passion and love for the animals really shone through providing interesting information on the UK alpaca history and each of the alpacas we walked.

A great activity for anyone - even those not super comfortable around animals (like my mom who hasn’t really been around animals much). She was nervous at first but Nick was very personable and walked us through every step on how to manage them. He was calm, assured and very friendly. She ended up loving Howard (her alpaca) and giving him a hug!

We were lucky to have a blue sky day which really perfected this activity. 10/10 and highly recommended.

Went today with friends on a Alpaca walk at Windermere, the weather wasn’t great however this did not spoil the experience! The guides were fantastic, Shelly was genuinely knowledgeable about Alpacas and the love for these animals showed. The information she gave was not rehearsed in the slightest, and gave personal insight into each Alpaca and their personalities. Fantastic experience, enjoyed by all!

Thank you so much for the 5 star review! We don't do walks at Windermere unfortunately so I think you may have been at Whinlatter Forest with Shelley, but we're so pleased you had such a good time, despite the weather ;) You are now officially a member of our Woolly Army (if you weren't already!) We have just finished a marvellous walk up to Cat Bells with 2 llamas from Little Town in the Lakes District. The llamas were very well behaved and the walk was not too challenging, but gave spectacular views up Newlands Valley and across Derwent Water. Nicole and Ste the guides were excellent, their knowledge of the llamas and alpacas was tremendous and their enthusiasm was infectious.

Absolutely amazing llama trek with our fantastic guide, Shelley, alongside Rocksteady & Tim who were so sweet throughout.

Shelley was so friendly and relaxed and gave us loads of facts and info on these lovely creatures.

The walk itself through the valley was beautiful and we throughly enjoyed the whole experience.

We’ll definitely be booking another trek when we’re next up in The Lake District

We went on the Alpaca walk on New Years Day, and can’t praise our guide Ste, or the whole experience, highly enough. The alpacas are perfect companions, the setting is stunning, and Ste is both hands on and hands off enough to make the whole thing educational and fun. You’ll have a blast. And you can tell that this is a business run by decent people trying to do the right thing. What’s not to like?

Only word I can use is AMAZING! Went on an alpaca trek and had Shelley & Sam as our guides - who were fantastic and made the whole experience that much better with all the information on alpacas and taking amazing pictures. The alpacas were equally as great and were so friendly and cute!

a wonderful thing to do, well organised and a lot of fun.
We wanted to do something a bit different and this worked perfectly for us, a relaxing walk in the grounds of the Hall. The alpacas each had different characters
