Great golf day out
Oct 2020 • Friends
Course is a fair challenge with score to be made on front nine and hold on coming home - greens were superb ( October 2020) and even though recent weather very wet fairways good and tees good. Friendly bar well set up for covid etc

Beautiful Golf Course
Sep 2019
This is one of those courses that is a bit of a hidden gem.

I have now played it several times as my playing partner is a member here - and each and every visit is an absolute pleasure.

The welcome in the golf shop is not exactly a warm one and probably the only negative - but do not let that detract from what is generally a positive experience.

The course is a real test and is one whereby you would never get bored playing as the layout is varied and interesting.

It has a good mix of difficult holes and easier ones

It starts off with a downhill par 4 that offers a birdie chance to get the round off to a good start.

It is followed by another couple of potential birdie holes and an opportunity to get your round off to a good start.

The first par 3 does not arrive until the 7th with a blind tee shot uphill although a big green - and it looks closer than it ti so take more club than you think you need.

I have always preferred the back 9 to be honest as there are some really lovely holes especially when you cross the road from the 12th onwards.

The 13th par 3 is a lovely hole and is followed by a superb par 5 hole that offers a birdie chance to those who are in the right position as it is a big dogleg - it is probably better to lay up and hot a short iron in as it is an elevated green where your 3rd shot will be played blind.

This hole is followed by a delightful par 3 - although quite short it is still a good hole to test your nerve as there are dangers lurking either side with bunkers and out of bounds.

The last hole is a difficult finishing hole uphill.

If you have not played Prudhoe before you are in for a treat as it a great test of golf and always in good condition - even at this time of the year.

The clubhouse offers good wholesome food and is very good value for money.

There is always a warm welcome waiting from Joanne and the 2 girls in the bar and more than makes up for the not so warm welcome in the golf shop.

There is a small balcony where you can overlooking the putting green and the 8th tee.

It is not an expensive course but well worth a look if ever you are in that area - as it constitutes real value for money.

Fast greens
Sep 2019 • Friends
Prudhoe is not a long course but don’t think you will come here and murder it because you won’t it is very tricky the greens are very tight and small it has a couple of really long holes but the majority of them you can reach in two you must be a good putter The greens are always quick and have lots of borrow the clubhouse is nice and modern I can thoroughly recommend the bacon and sausage sandwiches very good

Bloody lovely Sunday dinner
Sep 2018 • Couples
Called here today after hearing great reviews about their Sunday dinners so thought we would see for ourselves and we were not disappointed. Wifey had the chicken dinner which was lush and I opted for the mince and dumplings and I must say this was by far on par with me mams. One if the best mince and dumplings I've ever had. Fantastic prices too. This is a must place to call. It's like a little taste of home. We liked it that much we've booked for Christmas dinner and looking forward to it but I do think we will be calling a few more times before then.

Jun 2018 • Friends
i have played Prudhoe twice in the same week I'm very fond of this place because i learnt my golf here
but playing here on a Wednesday with our society and on a Friday in a charity day
the greens had improved but were not as good as they normal are
also found the course to be untidy not its normal pristine condition
we ate at the golf club and found the food was average nothing to shout about
all in all i do enjoy playing here but not as good as it normally is
