Sir James Mitchell, or "Jimmy Mitchell" as he was fondly called, was Premier and Governor of Western Australia, when the state was known as the place of "sin, sun sand and sore eyes." This lovely Swan River foreshore is fine for a walk, it runs from the Narrows Bridge to the Causeway. It's a lot better than it once was.

This is a lovely well kept park with fantastic views across to the City of Perth.
What I like is the electric grill for cooking and the covered in picnic benches.
There is also a few nice little sandy beaches.

This is one of the best parks in Perth. Dogs are allowed off leash in some areas so having a lunch or dinner picnic with your best furry friend and stunning close up view of Perth City is what you can do easily! Also so great for cycling and having a bbq with the family :)

Often my wife and I walk the 10km from South Perth, through the city and back around the water. The view walking through Sir James Mitchell Park is excellent.

A very nice park for walkers, cyclists and dog walkers. Free bbq's too. Plenty of seats too. Several car parks at frequent places. Small beach areas on the riverside. Also some kiosks and restaurants for drinks and snacks.

Nice and relaxing place to start the day and early evening exercises. You can have the beautiful Perth city skyline with Swan River sceneries. There are restaurants and water sport activities available.

One of my favourite places in Perth, Enjoy a relaxing time with family and friends by walking along the foreshore or sitting in deckchairs and soaking in the amazing view of the Perth skyline opposite from across the beautiful Swan River. On Australia day, which is 26 January each year this foreshore is transformed into a vantage point for many families preparing for the fireworks in the evening, There are cafes and restaurants in the area and ferries will transfer you from the foreshore to the city at Perth jetty. A short 10 minute stroll will lead you to the Perth Zoological Gardens, which is a great place to visit.

We hung out here for a few hours after taking the Transperth ferry across the Swan River. Very well-kept park with the best views of Perth CBD along the riverside walkways. Plenty of green space to relax in. The scented garden and wooden walkway over the marshlands offer even more peaceful settings.

Be very careful and watch your surrounding for suspicious looking individuals. Our rental car was broken-into at this Mill Point carpark opposite Coco's Restaurant on 8 Sep 15 around 7.30pm to 9.00pm and our personal belongings were stolen. This caused so much inconveniences to otherwise a good holiday. Take out your belongings when parking here!
