We had a great day caving and rafting with Peng and John. We started the day in the largest cave in peninsula Malaysia. It was a bit of an adventure crawling on our hands and knees through the water in the cave. Our two elementary aged kids love it. Then we went rafting which was fun although not as adventurous.

White water river rafting with Nomad Adventures was 10/10!

We didn’t spend the night, we just had a day trip from KL for the rafting adventure and even tho the distance from KL it was so worth it!

The hospitality, the guides, together with the jungle environment was fantastic!

Next time we will definitely stay the night!

Thank you!

We are a family of 3. My teen is 13 yrs old . This is our family's 2nd time visiting Nomad Adventure. 4 days of thrilling fun exploring gopeng on our mountain bikes with guides , Soleh and Najib. Rode our bikes to Ulu Geruntum fall where we had a little picnic , lunch and swim there . After that we headed off road to a limestone quarry . Definitely worth it ! A Gorgeous sight!!😍
Next day we rode to Ulu Geroh , where we trekked a little bit to view the amazing Rafflesia flower . The orang asli guide taught us a little bit about the orang asli language , culture , flora and fauna in Ulu Geroh. Saw many interesting creatures during our trek , enormous stick insects , centipedes, leeches , the gorgeous Raja Brookes butterfly , frogs etc.....
3rd day we cycled to Lata Kinjang waterfall , a magnificently tall waterfall which can be seen from the highway! Long ride but definitely worth it . Amazing scenery and super fun terrain . Stopped by Chappati corner for lunch and had the most delicious chappati with mutton curry we have ever tasted - SCRUMPTIOUS!😋
Experiencing Gopeng on bicycles allows us to soak in the atmosphere at our own pace & OH! all the spectacular views! 😍 We rode along rivers , across rivers , past mountains , up mountains , along kampong roads..... such a memorable and unique experience for us .
Saw pigtail macaques , herds of buffallos , cows , heard gibbons calls early in the morning in the mountains...... truly , truly a wonderful experience for my family .
Anyone who loves biking and adventure should try it!! So worth it !

Guides Soleh and Najib were professional ,
friendly , knowledgeable and helpful .
Felt comfotable and safe under their guide. 👍

Myself and three teenagers 14,15 and 16 years old did a 2 hour cave exploration with experienced guide Moose. It was truly amazing to be in total pitch blackness inside the cave when you turn off all your flashlights and headlights. The most interesting part of the trip has to be white water rafting for my kids. We felt totally safe under the guidance of Moose although it was a first for all of us. We will be back certainly with Nomad to try water abseiling. Thank you again !

This was my second time around with Nomad Adventures and it would be a shame if I don't write this review. I took my 9 year old son last year for a Grade 2 white water rafting with Nomad Adventures, without knowing how it would be like. It turned out to be one of the best trips I had ever done with my son. The fact that these guys are fantastic in terms of guiding, safety, equipment played a huge part but what I really loved or my son really loved, are the guides themselves. They are well trained, friendly and really do go the extra mile. In that trip, we also did roping afterwards and for the first time in my life at 43 years of age, I went screaming on a zipline.

We loved the adventures and the guides so much, I decided to book a longer trip, staying overnight (the initial one was a full day trip). In our second trip, we did kayaking on Sg. Kampar, abseiling at Ulu Geruntum and caving + the first flying fox inside a cave in Malaysia at Gua Kandu. We just loved every single moment of all the activities, my son went on the cave zipline 3 times!

I have to give credit to the trip leaders and the guides, particularly Rafizi or Ozzie, my son loves him so much we requested that he'd be our guide in this trip just like the last trip. We were lucky we got him in the last trip. Ozzie actually took two other guys with him, Ayi and intern Fitri, just to keep an eye on my 10 year old son. For the first time in my life, I was not worried that anything untoward would happen with these guys being around, that is how confident I was with them.

Nomad really puts safety above everything and they really go the mile for their clients. They make a scary activity like the flying fox for me enjoyable and the personal social banter they have naturally with people is what really drives the activities. We stayed overnight, food were provided which is really good and everything is eco-friendly. If you have kids, take them. If you're going to do one adventurous thing this year, go with Nomad, do the whole she-bang. Price wise, I think they are sound when you consider the service and safety.

I will be taking my son for a Gua Tempurung trip paired with a hiking and camping with them soon. Go go!

We booked a full day at Nomad adventures for 2 persons, which was amazing! In the morning we went rafting with our awesome tourguide Soleh, an intern from the earth camp and a really fun instructor who took the maximum out of our raft tour!

After heading back to the earth camp, we had some time to relax and there was plenty of tasty lunch for us!

In the afternoon, Soleh took us with another instructor to the mountain school which was hot and quite tough, but really fun! We did 2 routes with a max height of 15-20m in the trees. Sometimes we had to admit it was a little bit scary but everything is very safe and the Nomad instructors ensure that you are all the time. Soleh added a lot of ziplines and the "leap of faith" as well to finish the mountain school spectactularly!

Back at the earth camp we could shower, chat with volunteer Mandy and take something to drink. During the whole day Soleh took pictures and videos of us and then he even brought us to the nearest town so it was easier for us to get back to our hotel in Ipoh.

It was an amazing day at Nomad, amazing service and there was not a second that we did not feel safe during the activities! We would recommend it to everyone and a big terima kasih to the staff!

Went for a half day white water rafting activity with Nomad Adventure and it was a great experience.

Unlike other outdoor/adventure company in the area, Nomad caterred their activity to private and hands-on interaction. Went with a group of friends and we were the only people booked for rafting on that day with the company. The receptionist (?) explained that try not to group clients with different bookings together. This is great for small groups that prefer not to mingle with strangers.

Since our group was small (8), the guides (Solihin and Fakrul) really made an effort to treat each one of us personally. Great service from the guides and their helpers (K-on & Farah).

The rapids at Kampar River was up to grade 3, so it’s excellent for beginners. A little less adventurous for those who’ve tried bigger rapids (I have personally tried rafting in a 5.5 grade rapid), but that still doesn’t mean that it’s not fun (try to purposely flipped yourself off board while going through the rapids for more water-submerging fun underwater!).

Food provided was excellent. Good for our malay tastebuds.

The Earth Camp facilities were one of the best I’ve seen so far in Malaysia. Clean and spacious. They even sell handmade products from the locals in the area.

Even though some people might say the price is above the average range for this activity, I still think that it’s affordable and value-for-money.

Was doing my research online on which company to go with for white water rafting with 2 young boys. Age 5 and 8. Most of the operators are either not responsive, having outdated information or not willing to accept children. Having done white water rafting myself at Sabah and NZ, I fully understand their concern. Finally, we decided to go with Nomad Adventures and settle for the boring flat water rafting. Drove the the meeting place and met up with our guide Soleh. We told him that we really wanted to try white water rafting and after accessing the water level and our youngest boy, he decided that we can give it a shot with an extra guide. The GM, Faizal spoke to us to make that we fully understand the risk involved. And finally its a go ahead! We had a blast! Soleh, Faizal and his team over at Nomad Adventures are very professional. Highly recommended! Its important to choose the right operator especially if you are doing outdoor adventures. Safety comes first and we are glad that we go with chose Nomad Adventures! Big thank you!

Close to nature. And days of pain afterwards. But thankfully there were very experienced and helpful guides who patiently showed us the way together with safety briefings. I felt very safe throughout the whole camp experience. However, I do wish for better shower and toilet facilities because they were quite small for me....

Thank you for leaving us a review! We are very sorry for causing muscle pain because of our activities and at the same time we are happy that you still managed to enjoy your outdoor experience! Earth Camp is a campsite and not a resort that's why some of our facilities are quiet basic. Sorry to hear that it wasn't up to your expectations. We hope to see you again!
