Terrible experience, very nervous/shouting management, rushing everyone around, mistreating staff and clients, mediocre wines (does not make justice to Cretan wine production at all!).
I live on the island and write about local wines, I felt ashamed in front of my guests. There are truly superb wineries in the Chania region, clearly not this one.

Very welcoming even if we showed up off-season! We got a tour of the winery with great explanation of the varieties that grow in Crete. Tasted their white, red and raki. They make a great chardonnay !! Fun to look at all the old objects displayed in the tasting room, gave us great insight into the history of wine making on the island.

On our way from from Chania to the beach of Elafonissi via Drapanias we saw a sign stating "Wine museum", reminded us of the Agroturismo places in Italy. The Pnevmatikaks Winery is a nice and delicious wine tasting place, a business of a family that grows grapes and olives. The gracious Stefanos gave us a tour and we tasted all they produce: different wines including a wine called Romeiko, produced the way it was done in Antiquity. The Romeiko has a taste similar to a nice sherry and is 14.5 proof. Their olive oil has a very rich taste and the Raki (tastes similar to Grappa) is very nice. So we had a good time, purchased wine and oil and they packed the bottles for us in such a way that they arrived safely home. RECOMMEND!

We called in after eating near by.
We had a young man show us around and gave us some information about the winery.
He answered our questions and then took us into the wine museum and left us to look around and taste the wines.
Around 17 in total, then we sat on the balcony with a fantastic view, with a glass of our favourite.
We then bought a bottle of our two favourites on the way out and we were pleasantly surprised that they were only 5€ each.

We were just looking for an hour stop and tour and this fit the bill perfectly. It's not far off the main highway and there was plenty of parking.

We got a quick tour of the winery, then were lead upstairs to the tasting room. The lady explained our choices and then said "It's all self serve and free" and then left us to enjoy the tasting.

There is a balcony overlooking the sea were you can enjoy as well. I'd estimate there were over 20 wines to taste and they have white, rose and red from dry to sweet. Of course, not all wines were great to me, but we definitely found several we liked.

We made note of the wines we liked and they sold them all in the store downstairs are very reasonable prices (most were 4-5 Euros IIRC).

Anyways, I wanted a tour that wasn't too involved or too crazy of a drive with hopes of tasting some good local wine and this was exactly what I wanted.

When we arrived there was no one in reception area, so we look around by our self in a very dusty wine seller lots of big beautiful barrels. Ok after that we went to the 1 floor for the wine testing. Still no body to talk to ore ask....
Hmmm a lot of glasses in on the table, not very clean. Hmmm we found some glasses we used for tasting, a lot of wines but no explanation ore guidance. It was wired. The price of the wine was cheap but no body in reception/ shop area to buy from. So thank you and goodbye.

A brilliant rainy day activity. We arrived to a smiling Katiana who offered us a free tour of the winery cellar and fermenting rooms which was cool.

She then led us upstairs to an attractive tasting room and left us to help ourselves. The balcony with a view complimented the outrageously tasting vino. Well done. Very good.

Recommend to anyone. 5 stars
