My dad turned 70 this year and he is a big train buff. He has wanted to see this train museum for years. So I gave him a trip to Montreal to see the museum! He was in his glory. He could tell you all the technical details about each train. All I know is that it was great for... More

I have been wanting for years to visit the Train Museum. It was absolutely fabulous. Much better than I ever anticipated. Not recommended for people with young children if you really want to read up and see everything. Most amazing was the miniature section. Trains, villages, lakes with cottages and people sunbathing. All done to scale. Absolutely a must see.

This was a very well planned out museum. There was enough to keep youngsters and oldsters happy and occupied. The tram ride and the mini train ride were fun for all. All the people that worked there were bilingual and very friendly. There were enough trains to go into and look into to keep everyone's interest. We liked the mini... More

My wife and I spent a very enjoyable Labor Day holiday visiting this museum. We spent several hours there and found it truly fascinating. There is an excellent collection of historically important carriages including offices on rails for railroad executives, suites for traveling royalty, school rooms for servicing remote areas, postal sorting stations and others. There are many locomotives from... More

Our family visited the ExpoRail because our son loves trains. Well, our family came away from this museum with a love of the history of trains. This attraction is simply one every train lover should visit. The steam engines are incredible!

We are from the UK and spending two weeks in and around the Montreal area. As I have an interest in railways I made a bee line for this museum and was not disappointed. A superb collection of locomotives, carriages, and other rolling stock. Well presented with good access. Standing on the footplate of the 'Dominion of Canada' was a highlight (Last... More

This was an excellent trip compounded with a family pass purchased for 28.00 2 kids 2 adults. Aside from the wonderful inside main exhibit, there were three outside real train rides including an authentic montreal tram, a train and a childrens train. Inside there are some great exhibits to see like authentic trains with livibg auarters from the railroad builders... More

My three boys were all Thomas the tank engine fans when little and their fascination with trains never really waned, so we decided to make a stop at this museum on our way to Toronto from Boston. Boy did we make the right decision. We were there on a Sunday, so we got to take a short ride on a... More

We are a family with limited financial resources and we try to get the best for our money. I was counting the money before going just to find out I have to pay 7$ more. The museum is however very entertaining for children. The mini-train was a huge hit and my kids did several tours. The exhibition itself is impressive.... More
