The garden was pretty ... flowerless .. i suppose due to the late season (September) but still very nice walk and view. Going down to the city I loved being able to admire the wee squirrels ... 5 stars to them!

We got the funicular up to Schatzalp and walked the route to the waterfall that was within the garden. The planting was very well done and blended well with nature’s excellent efforts. The walk is relatively easy and took us about an hour, including photo stops!

You arrive in Davos on the train, take a walk along the street and then you take a left turn and take the venicula to the top.
When you enter the gardens ,your greeted by a huge hotel, small kiosk that sells lovely Ice creams et c and some plants for sale including eidelviess, what an amazing flower.
Walk along and walk up through the paths that take you past amazing alpines, lovely views and a spectacular waterfall.
The wild flowers, orchids, lupins, the colour of the flowers need to be seen woodlands, picnic areas ,
You can eat there as well.
I find the area magical ,great for all ages.

It was fog and rain so we couldn't enjoy the view. It is also a hotel and a restaurant there but they were empty. Although the buildings have an impressive architecture, they might be kept a bit better from cleaningness and renovation point of view. The plants are unique but explanations only very very small written.

The four of us, having a spare day and complimentary tickets to use the furnicular railway to the Schatzalp, made our way up. The views were stunning and we sought out the waterfall and alpine gardens using a map. The gardens by the Thomas Mann Platz were delightful on a lovely day but we found the signage beyond a little sparse and had to ask several other hikers for confirmation that we were going in the right direction. Finally a charming local lady helped us but pointed out that with the lack of rain the waterfall was more of a trickle and the gardens had been badly hit by an avalanche. Sadly she was right but it was a memorable walk - although could be heavy going for anyone with mobility issues - as we had in our group. Lovely day out though.

These gardens are pretty as a picture. What a surreal location. 2000 m above sea level with views over Davos and valley.
Several different gardens each with their own atmosphere. You need to spend a couple of hours here to see all the gardens.
There was some damage after an avalanche in May, it's good to see how the rehabilitation is being managed. If you are lucky enough to recognise Klaus the head gardener, he's worth chatting to. His passion and knowledge is extraordinary.
This garden specialises in alpine plants, so you can enjoy lots of poppies, peonies, eidelweiss etc.
paths are gravel and some have steps, some wooden seats are also in the garden.
