The entire visit was so so much fun. I loved that nothing was too much for your staff, friendly accommodating and supportive of my Autistic son. We loved dancing and it thrilled us not only to be noticed for our fun attitude to.life but our fab dancing skills!!! The raptor visit was beautiful and my gratitude for the patience and time given to allow my son acclimatise to V raptor was so touching, thank you. The only thing I didn't enjoy was £2.50 for a very short ride on the quads and ended out paying £25 quid ish, where as previously we would have only spent around £10. Children like Kareem will need multiple go's on such fun rides, I know cost of EVERYTHING is up but that is quite a hike on price. All in all, fab day, tired boy, tired momma but will sleep with smiles. Thank you all at Avon Valley.

Was a really great trip, the staff were far more engaging than previously and the new bits are great.
Only thing that I know puts others off is the price of the entry. If you were to lower prices I know more people would come meaning more money as it is just a bit too expensive for most.

We had a fantastic time at your Dinosaur themed event today. The park/farm was lovely by itself, but the added Dinosaur themes were perfect and done so well my Dino mad children loved it!

The shows, baby dinosaurs, stuff a dinosaur, the naughty raptor and the dinosaur trainers were all Amazing … always in character, so patient with the younger children. Thank you for such a brilliant day out.

My single reservation is that as we had to pay more money for the Dino event, it would’ve been nice if more of those areas were restricted eg the Dino walk.

Charged £6 per person to enter and on booking it stated free activities there was nothing free to do there at all. False advertising and no entertainment, everything cost per person. Can’t understand why we were charged entry when not even a pumpkin was included in the price, wouldn’t recommend.

On my email received today it states stiltwalkers and fire show Only entertainment was 4 dancers dressed up. Even states that the pumpkin picking patch is flood lit? It’s pitch black only lighting is before you enter.

Thank you for visiting the Pumpkin Patch and providing this feedback.  I'm sorry to hear you were disappointed with your experience. We try to make what is included within the event as transparent as possible on all our event promotion so people can make an informed decision ahead of visiting. This includes what is and is not included within the event ticket and we have clearly stated on all promotional that pumpkins, stalls & rides are not included. We do not state that there are 'free activities'. The entry fee covers the entertainment (acting team and regular fireshows), the large well managed and staffed event space and patch, parking, toilets, wheelbarrows and much more. Best Wishes

We visited Avon Valley Wildlife parks winter wonderland after we looked and their website and sounded impressed by the description.

We were very excited to be going out and doing something Christmasy with our children including our disabled daughter who is a wheelchair user.

On arrival it became very quickly apparent that whoever was responsible for the website description had highly exaggerate the facilities.

Along with the whole place looking not very Christmassy, it was run down, most of the young staff looked so unhappy and not very inviting to talk to.

The ice skating rink was very small and we were unable to even get anywhere near it to book skating due to huge queues of unmasked people..
We then went and looked around the rest of the park, most things were closed like the dinosaur lab etc so there wasn’t much to do for the children.

We then came across a sweet stand selling 3 marshmallows on a stick to roast on a fire at a cost of £3.50 per stick daylight robbery, my older son was hungry and wanted a sausage / hotdog from the van next to the sweet shop but at £9 I had to refuse and he went hungry.

We were there for a grand total of 20 minutes 5 minutes of that waiting to get in, it took us an hour and half round trip to get there.

I would not recommend this as a place to visit for Christmas treat with the kids, there are far better places to visit for the price charged, and personally don’t even think it was worth free entry!!!

A lesson learned I suppose

Merry Christmas everyone 🎄🎅🏽

Hello, thank you for visiting the park and providing this feedback. I am currently working through the results of a customer satisfaction survey so I will add this feedback to it to discuss when planning this years event. I am sorry to read you had such a short visit as we had lots of attractions and entertainment running throughout the day. The ice skating rink was fully booked in advance most days so unable to book on the day and although we encourage people to wear masks in undercover areas there was no legal requirement which makes it difficult for us to enforce especially outdoors. Best Wishes

Booked a private party in the play barn, minimal staffing when we had been asked to pay extra due to the numbers, various people that were not in the party kept coming in and out and we had to ask them to leave which was uncomfortable (but ultimately for safety reasons as we were responsible for the children that were there), also an unfortunate incident whereby one child invited to the party was injured by someone that had entered and wasnt part of our group. We also had the party after us enter our space an hour early and move all our food items to set up their party and when I spoke to them that we had not finished, was very rude and nasty. The one person who was working was lovely, and tried her best but was too much to manage.

Normally wouldn't write a negative review however after asking to speak to a Manager on the day (they apparently don't work Sundays), leaving full details with 2 members of staff, emailing and then completing a satisfaction questionnaire saying I was unhappy and needed to speak with someone, it is evident that they do not wish to speak or resolve it. I guess they already have our money!

Therefore I wouldn't recommend booking a party here, you cannot enjoy as have to be a 'bouncer' for those coming in the 2 entrances to the Playbarn, and Management wont get back to you. Really disappointed as were planning on having another party here, would recommend Farringtons instead.

Very poor disabled accessibility.

Whilst I appreciate this is a farm and expect there to be uneven and bumpy surfaces, this is not a place that has been made with any considerations for a disabled chair or scooter user. The choice of material to place down on the ground is without thought to the disabled visitor. What is especially concerning is the amendments, additions and improvement work to the site has actually made the accessibility worse.

In the disabled part of the car park there is large, deep, gravel of various sizes which makes a mobility scooter unusable. The new areas have the same materials which added to the expected uneven ground, makes this inaccessible and dangerous as it causes the scooter user to get stuck, jackknife on any minor sloping angle or even worse fall out.

It is not accessible to anyone using an electric scooter or chair. Carers should be made aware pushing a manual wheelchair would also prove difficult.

There should therefore be mobility scooters suitable for this ground if the decision in the future will be to keep this material on the ground. The disability statement suggests ..‘ one wheelchair is available but we would recommend you bring your own chair or scooter..’. This is not viable for the reasons listed above.

I paid full price to not be able to access half of the facilities. This is not a ‘bit of rough or uneven’ ground as stated in the accessibility terms. This is completely inaccessible ground.

Hello, I'm sorry to read your experience was so disappointing and limiting. We currently are not a fully accessible park as we are aware many of our farm paths are not easily accessible but it is something we are trying to improve. We are working towards making all areas of the park other than the tarmaced paths more accessible with better pathways and have upgraded the Dinosaur Valley path recently so a large part of it can be accessed in an all terrain wheelchair. I will pass your feedback on to the management team and I will review our accessibility statement also. Best Wishes, Lizzie.

Avoid! Sadly a bitter expensive disappointment. Clearly has seen better days but charges top dollar for bottom dollar experience. Shabby dirty broken equipment or out of order. Desolate caravans in car park are a sign of things to come. Litter and building waste throughout site which hasn’t been properly maintained in years. Truly awful. Spent a depressing 20 minutes walking round before asking for a refund of 59 pounds for two adults and 4 and 1 year old. Told no refunds. Grumpily they took my details and said I would hear back but hold out no hope.

Hello. I am a little confused about why you visited our farm park today as you have taken a tour of the extremities of our car park and litter bins which are not the basis of a day out with us. I can see from the duty manager report after 20 minutes being in the park you made a complaint about the condition of the park which seems to comprise of our bins, far reaches of the car park and farm paths. We had a full day of fantastic activities and entertainment lined up alongside loads of well maintained attractions which you seem to have chosen to completely ignore while photographing our car park. The most insulting part of that is you didn't even fairly photograph the brand new fencing spanning the car park next to the park and the new parking bays. Being disappointed with our car park and farm paths does not warrant a refund and we will never refund under the threat of posting bad reviews on social media. I hope you find a more enjoyable car park to visit soon.

I was very underwhelmed by my recent visit, the park was looking tired and a little scruffy in areas. A lot of the gates were still closed and so couldn't get to feed the animals - we climbed the small fences in the end. Only 2 out if around 10 go karts were working the others were broken, had pedals missing etc. The dinosaur research lab didn't have anything in it. We were told when we arrived it was pre book only, almost wish they hadn't have let us in! It does not state that anywhere on the website. The restaurant wasn't open either so the only option was this food truck, this was pricey, the food wasn't great so all in all I was disappointed, previously we've had much better experiences, I also think £15 entry for kids over 2 is too much for what we got.

Hello Maria, I'm sorry to hear you were disappointed by your visit to us. Our website is constantly reviewed to ensure visitors have all the correct information prior to visiting. Sinec reopening our ticketing pages all state that tickets need to be booked in advance, we even offer a discount of up to £4 a ticket if booked far enough in advance. The 'Food & Drink' page on the website informs guests prior to visiting that the Woodland Kitchen is closed and has a sample menu of the award winning street food, using locally sourced ingredients that Passion & Smoke have on offer. We hope next year to have our Woodland Kitchen reopen again with a wider selection of food. If you feel that this wasn't transparent, please send a link of the pages you feel need further information to helpdesk@avonvalley.co.uk and I will review it immediately. Best Wishes, Lizzie

NOT toddler friendly and NOT worth the money. I took my 2.5 year old here around Christmas after paying just as much for his ticket as an under 3 as for an adult. There were barely any toddler friendly attractions to justify such a steep price. We turned up here expecting great things and were utterly disappointed as well as frustrated that we had spent a lot of money to come. We didn’t spend long here (since there wasn’t actually much to do for my son). There is a large play park which is TOTALLY unsuitable. There were large gaps in the walk across bridges and even children around 8 years old were struggling and scared to cross. All in all I am honestly really angry that I wasted money here. I would never ever come back and I would certainly not recommend anybody else waste their time there. I wrote an email to Avon detailing the disappointment in our experience. And mentioned the fact there was no tractor ride as promised and there were no hot drinks available (when it was freezing). The response was extremely dismissive and they didn’t take the time to actually address anything I said, with no proposed resolution for us. So I really wouldn’t invest in a company that couldn’t really care less once they’ve already had your money and pulled the wool over your eyes.

Hello Rebekah, thank you for visiting the park and I'm sorry to read you felt so disappointed. We feel we have lots of offer for toddlers, which changes throughout the seasons but during the festive period we had lots of fun on offer. We have a designated village area for toddlers and babies in the indoor playbarn and they are able to use the rest of the indoor play equipment if they and their parent/carers wish to, the climbing areas and rainbow slide are usually really popular. Outside we have an under 4's jumping pillow to enjoy without the bigger kids getting involved. We have a couple of small play areas with slides, climbing areas and swings and have a huge development planned for this year. The animal barn, animal talks and farm animals are all toddler friendly. The miniature railway is really popular. Over the festive period the "Enchanted Village' was open with an acting team of elves entertaining the children with elf houses to play in. The festive period was a real challenge for many businesses to operate within, with staff sickness and shortages due to Covid isolations and delays to deliveries, service staff and the supply chain because of driver shortages and Covid. Our tractor had a mechanical fault and we could not fix it as quickly as we would have liked and we advised guests in advance where we could prior to visiting. As advised when at the park we unfortunately had a power outage and were unable to serve hot drinks, this was beyond our control and was rectified during the day with hot drinks available. The large play park isn't suitable for toddlers and we don't advertise it as being so. It's advised for 8 upwards although its large enough to play on for adults so we often see the more adventurous youngsters up there with an adult assisting. We believe play isn't just about having fun but about experimenting and testing boundaries. Our feedback on that equipment and what we see in the park is children on that equipment grow in confidence and feel a sense of achievement when they have accessed a level, slide or bridge they were unable to access the visit before or even that earlier in that day. I hope you feel I have addressed everything you have put to us. We have a really detailed website, listing all attractions and facilities so guests can make an informed decision ahead of purchasing a ticket about what is included and suitable for their child/ren. If you felt the website was misleading please send a screenshot of the relevant section to helpdesk@avonvalley.co.uk and I will review it and make any changes necessary. Best Wishes
