Damnation Creek trail, is about 15 minutes south once leaving Crescent City. It trails west, and "T"s at the Coastal Trail. Damnation Creek trail, has a elevation change of 450 ft, and is rated high moderate in difficulty. It is a narrow and intimate trail within the trees, and is SUPER pretty. From the parking, to the "T" is a little over 1 mile - one way. At the "T", is at a high view of the ocean, where you can go N or S on the Coastal Trail. The trail head, does not have parking if you are towing, but medium to small RVs can fit. There are no amenities at the trail head.

I loved the stretch of California from Crescent City south to Mendocino and Albion. I was so impressed in August, I returned to drive it in September. Breathtaking vistas with numerous Vista Points marked along the way to stop and soak in the beautiful views.

We just walked on this trail for an hour or so. It is incredible and next time we are here we'll plan on at least a day here. Tons of people hiking the whole thing. There is nothing so wonderful about being on a trail, it is just the best way to get to know an area.

We were just driving and kept seeing gorgeous sights. Then realised we were on this stretch of the road on our way out of Redwood Park. It keeps kids off digital devices as they too check out natures beautiful scenery. It's super the way it pops from ocean views back to tree views to ocean again. We were heading to our next stop and SHOULD have slowed down and enjoyed this more. It is worth taking time, perhaps stopping for breaks.

We went for a drive along the California redwood coast. Stopping at various adventures along the way. There is a wonderful coastal tour from the state and federal parks and many drive thru trees as a treat.
