    Cagwait beach,Tandag SURIGAO del Sur
Directions: From Tandag ,take a south bound bus(iether going to butuan or Davao.about 1 hour. .....Fine white sands and blue waters....this place used to be paradise, with coconut trees , and just a path that will lead you to the beach, until some local folks built an actual road in lieu of the path, and built cemented / galvanized shades for picnics. I just wished that they just left the place alone to its natural form. But it's still wotrth going.

It's been more than a decade since my visit to this quaint but beautiful beach. Back then it was a quiet and an isolated stretch of paradise w/ nary a soul in sight. Only a few non-surigaonons were aware of this far flung eden.

Today i'm told the cove has become very busy & touristy w/c is, quite frankly, inevitable, considering the beauty of cagwait. But to me , the pristine, sleepy, and desolate cagwait beach i came to visit back in the day will forever be the cagwait beach etched in my memory

A really good beach it is eventhough it is not our preferred location initially. It was a good choice. We arrived here early in the morning and it was beautiful. A perfect day with a perfect sun and sky. A long beach, with white sand and clear waters to relax in. So clear that the water is not the usual salty sea. This place is a popular one and many people come here. The place is preserve and maintain. There are a number of resorts here. We went to space bar. Just as good for a day to relax on. Recommended place.

When we had our great SDS adventure, we never forget to visit Cagwait White Beach. The sand is not so white, but it is very powdery. It is really smooth, and you can feel that it lingers in your skin. The waves are great. The place is great, too. Just avoid some mud areas outside the beach premise.

A great beach location with warm clear water and beautiful sand and trees . Very popular with the local population, I was the only foreigner in the whole sand bay.
Some minor rocky parts around the top end of the beach but the rest is just soft white sand. Great for swimming and cooling off in the hot tropical sun. Local Beer and drinks and food can be bought cheaply and eaten in the many huts and shelters under the trees on the beach.

For about an hour of motorcycle ride from Britania, i was able to reach this hidden beautiful long beach.

Cagwait beach has a long shorline and golden sand. If you love walking on the beach, you will enjoy this place. If you want to relax and avoid crowded beaches, this is the place for you. This place is so peaceful. Try to close your eyes and just listen to the waves and you will surely feel relax.

The white sand beach can be likened to that of Boracay's minus the amenities of course. It offers basic room amenities, basic resto bar outside the building.

This LGU-run establishment is always the venue of the annual Kaliguan Festival which is becoming famous in the region.

tip: buy some seafoods in Aras-asan Market and hire somebody to cook it for you. Its a lot more cheaper and tastier too..

The sand in Cagwait beach is very fine but it is actually not a white sand as other reviewers have written. It is a reddish brown sand but it is very fine and very nice for the kids to play. There were not so many accommodations in the area and no quality rooms but the good thing is that the place is not that touristy. When we went there, there were very few people so we enjoyed the beach by ourselves which is very nice. The waves though are a bit huge because it is facing the pacific ocean. But it is still worth visiting.
