Directions:
From Tandag ,take a south bound bus(iether going to butuan or Davao.about 1 hour.
.....Fine white sands and blue waters....this place used to be paradise, with coconut trees , and just a path that will lead you to the beach, until some local folks built an actual road in lieu of the path, and built cemented / galvanized shades for picnics.
I just wished that they just left the place alone to its natural form. But it's still wotrth going.

When we had our great SDS adventure, we never forget to visit Cagwait White Beach. The sand is not so white, but it is very powdery. It is really smooth, and you can feel that it lingers in your skin. The waves are great. The place is great, too. Just avoid some mud areas outside the beach premise.

I went here for a day-trip in August, while staying in Tago/Tandag.
What a beach! Superb sand, excellent bay, super relaxing, a dream beach indeed.
The only negative remark I have, is that there are broken glass-bottles littering the sandy bottom, so it is very VERY easy to cut your feet.
The resorts surrounding this remarkable place should seriously make an effort to clean things up!
- They could also consider stopping the sales of glass-bottles in the restaurants there, to minimize the issue with broken glass-bottles waiting for the feet of children and adults alike.
Other than that, this bay is incredibly nice for snorkeling.

A really good beach it is eventhough it is not our preferred location initially. It was a good choice. We arrived here early in the morning and it was beautiful. A perfect day with a perfect sun and sky. A long beach, with white sand and clear waters to relax in. So clear that the water is not the usual salty sea. This place is a popular one and many people come here. The place is preserve and maintain. There are a number of resorts here. We went to space bar. Just as good for a day to relax on. Recommended place.

Looking for an unspoiled, peaceful beach? Cagwait is your bet. We stayed at one of the bed-and-breakfast types called Space Bar, and it was smack in the middle of the area so you can see the cove shape the beach forms from there. White sand, clear waters, not a lot of people - what more can you ask for?

A C-shaped white sand beach in the laid-back town of Cagwait, the Cagwait White Beach was once named as the Waikiki Beach of the Philippines by Charles Lindbergh, a famous pilot. It is a long stretch of white sand beach just few minutes from the town center.
It was raining when I visited Cagwait so the water was a bit cold. i thought I would not be able to enjoy the beach but I actually did. I played with the waves and stayed longer as planned.
If your coming from Davao City, take a bus/van going to Tandag City and tell the bus conductor/driver that you are going to Cagwait. There are two options in going to Cagwait White Beach : 1) alight at the junction of Cagwait where you can see the welcome landmark, then take a tricycle going to the white beach P10; 2) alight at the Aras-asan bus terminal and take a tricycle going to the white beach P15 each. The first option is more convenient. Alternatively, you can cut your trip if you can't find a Tandag-bound bus. Take a bus from Davao/Butuan and alight at San Franz bus terminal and then take another bus/van going to Tandag. Fare from Davao to San Franz by Bachelor Express bus (airconditioned) is P370 for 4-5 hours and fare from San Franz to Cagwait by van is P120 for 2-3 hours.

I dont think the resort and restaurant have a wheelchair. Tuna republic is located at the white beach and near the parking area and they have tables placed on the beach area which is accessible to senior citizens

hi, at Cagwait White beach, there were no nearby INNs....but at Cagwait town proper, resort options are available... Monica del sol, LGU Cagwait beach resort, Plaza beach resort... Distance between Cagwait white Beach and Cagwait town Proper is around 7 kilometers.... And said white beach is an interior part.... a distant away from the hiway...
