To visit this sight you should first go to the Archeological Museum of Capua, the ticket is valid for both Museum and Mithreum. The person responsible for unlocking the Mithreum will follow you to the location and guide you through it. See pictures for spectacular ancient interior.

Compared to any other surviving Mithraic shrine (and they were widely scattered across the empire), this is real stunner. Well worth the visit.

Included in the ticket to the archaeological museum, the Mithraeum an underground temple dedicated to the god Mithra, one of the best preserved in the world, with many frescoes still intact, particularly that of the god killing a bull.

Must go to the museum first to get access. It was much bigger than I expected. There is a plaque on the wall with some information. I would have liked a little more history. Overall it was very interesting site to visit.

Hello, we want to visit Mitreo on April 5th at 13:00 or 13:30. Which place to go? Via D'Angio 48 or Via Morelli? I see on the Google map that there is no entrance.
Thanks
