Amazing artwork- a must see on Manitoulin!
I love going to Perivale, Shannon has some wonderful artists featured there! There are always new, wonderful shows, and the artwork is switched up to see new pieces each time. I would highly recommend going- and more than once!

    Superb experience
Amazing art gallery! The talent of the artists is obvious, but so is the talent of the owner/curator in her presentation of the artwork and her welcoming service to visitors. If you enjoy art and live in or are visiting Ontario, put this gallery on your "must do" list.

As a permanent resident of Manitoulin Island, my artistic destination of choice for my visitors has always been Perivale Gallery. It never fails to impress everyone. The heritage buildings and beautiful gardens immediately elicit a sense of calm. I highly recommend a visit here; you won't be disappointed.

An incredible and intimate art experience in the coziest of settings.
I have visited this gallery several times, and each visit is a unique experience. The art is being constantly refreshed, and the artists are always the best that Ontario has to offer. You would never know that such a stunning collection would be found housed in this quaint setting nestled in the forest. If you enjoy art, this is a MUST SEE venue while visiting Manitoulin Island!

Perivale Gallery is a Manitoulin must not miss!
My wife and I make it a point to visit Perivale Gallery every time we go to Manitoulin island. Awe is inspired before you even step through the gallery door. The grounds are magical with beautiful gardens, sculptures, and there’s a nearby lake that is absolutely pristine. The art inside is vibrant and such a pleasure to take the time to enjoy. Kudos to this gallery for representing so many women artists. Shannon, the owner, has come to be a friend over the years and she gives all who visit the warmest welcome. If you’re visiting the island, you must spend an afternoon visiting Perivale gallery. You won’t regret it.

My wife and I decided to visit this gallery after reading many positive reviews. Our art knowledge is limited, but the owner (Shannon) took time to tell us about some of the art and the artists. The art was mesmerizing and we could have stayed much longer, but this is a popular gallery and it was getting quite busy. We fell in love with and purchased a piece on display by a young artist. We are planning on visiting again on our next trip to the island.

What a treasure Perivale Gallery is!
We have been wanting to visit for some time now, and finally had the opportunity yesterday.
Well curated and represented, the gallery provides the work a host of diverse artists and artisans.
The North is prominently on display in various forms: wall art, sculpture, jewelry, pottery.... all worthy of a second, third look, and even permanent gazing in the perfect spot in your home.
The gardens at Perivale are equally impressive. Stroll through and the peaceful serenity will envelop you.
If you are on the beautiful island Manitoulin, stop in.
If you are not, make the trip ... it is so worth it!

The Perivale Gallery was recommended by the knowledgeable young woman at the Little Current Welcome Centre and we were not disappointed. Shannon McMullan, the owner and curator, was a fount of information and a delightful conversationalist. The gallery features artists from Manitoulin Island and elsewhere in Canada. We left with a black metal crow holding a large pearl in its mouth, from a B.C. artist This is a must-stop for anyone visiting Manitoulin.

If you are visiting Manitoulin Island, a stop to this beautiful art gallery is a must! It is lovingly family owned and run by Shannon who is very accommodating and knowledgeable. It was her family's cottage and home and the gardens are wonderful. Beautiful artwork from a variety of artists in gorgeous lush colours, styles and affordability. Check out their website and facebook page as many are posted online. Highly recommended!

During my recent visit to this impressive gallery, artist Len Harfield spoke with owner Shannon McMullan from across the room cautioning her to "watch out for the Gypsies"on her trip to Paris.
My partner is a Roma (NOT Gypsy). How offensive in this day and age.The remark was received without comment by the owner.
I returned the two small pieces of Mr. Harfield's I had wanted to purchase.

We loved the Perivale Gallery! Shannon McMullan, the ower, is super interesting! As we were only on Manitoulin Island on the weekday, I called for an appointment. She had just finished with a client and offered to wait while we drove the 30 minutes. Its a beautiful gallery with a huge range in original art from less than $100 to stunning art over $1000. We spent over an hour there on our own! We loved the Laurie Near art and as we were trying to chose which one to get she showed us even more that she had in storage! So don't be afraid to talk to Shannon as she truly knows her inventory!

Perivale gallery is a very beautiful place. And has works by some of Manitoulin islands greatest artists. If you are visiting Manitoulin island or even if you live here, this should definetly be on the top of your list of things to do. The beauty of the house that the gallery is presented in is a piece of art in itself. Shannon the owner obviously really takes pride in the presentation of the pieces that she presents. there is a wide selection of different types of art such as paintings, sculptures, statues, blown glass, jewelery, quilt work, mixed media fabric and best of all the gallery is affordable for all price range. My family and I will be back.

This gem of a gallery is off the beaten track in a rustic and peaceful location on the shore of Lake Kagawong on Manitoulin Island. The drive there was a beautiful adventure in itself.
The gallery seems to focus on natural setting ranging from
Realism to Impressionistic. The works are from accomplished to up and coming artists with a good range of sizes and prices. Well worth the trip on so many levels.

Fabulous space. Great art. A true gem tucked away in the woods. Nothing "kitschy" about this place - its a wonderfully curated collection of art that would stand up to any "big city" gallery. Love, love, love. We'll be back!
