Built in the 1960's a tin hut mission church serving the parish was on site prior to this modern Scandinavian style church. The green roof was copper that has turned green, one side has solar panels which works all year round, installed during the time of Vicar Howard Daubney, his predecessor was Cannon Gordon Ingram who retired and went off to help restore inland waterways , Rev. Howard Daubney helped form Strood Community Action Group with local Gospel Mission , he also bought a whole set of steel drums , which were played at several local events including Rochester Cathedral , before being disbanded (pardon the pun). Current Incumbent is Rev. Sharon Copestake who often takes her Wednesday Coffee morning crowd to the local Pub to help her encourage new members. The Summer and Christmas Fairs are well organised and regular events . A modern church with a modern Vicar and a modern outlook on Christianity in the community, you are missing out if you do not visit 10.30 Sunday Services .

Come on, come all, and be welcomed

A lovely church with not only a happy and warm welcome, but it feels as if you are entering a large and opened armed family. Everyone likes to come home and this Church makes you feel as though you have. No pressure to donate, or come every week, just a delightful experience.
