Pleasant walks through a mix of woodland, meadows, and around five small lakes. There are a mix of firm paths and tracks that become very muddy in wet weather and are often closed for the winter months. There are limited easy access paths but slopes and steps also feature so it may not be ideal for those with mobility issues. Lots of varied bird and insect life and foxes, roe deer, and grass snakes can be regularly seen, even in daylight.Plenty of bats over the ?takes on summer dusks. There's a small free car park and the study centre has toilet facilities when open. Good for dog walking.L

A car park next to a little lake and study type centre. Mini trails through woodland, a bit up and downy so someone with mobility issues might take a stick. Attractive scrubby bits for the little animals to live in. Dogs can walk off leads sometimes, but the wildlife comes first so you have to look for signage on the day. A pleasant way to spend an hour.

The walks around the lakes are lovely and quiet and make it an excellent dog walking spot. Takes up to an hour for a decent walk, allowing for stops to admire the lakes, enjoy the views and, if you're in luck, spot the deer. Well maintained with a visitor centre, although I'm not sure of the opening times, and a small amount of parking.

This is a lovely place to go for a walk around the lakes and woodland paths are well kept and it's very peaceful if u walk all around the lakes it takes about an hour at a steady to slow pace. Main trails have a stony surface if u go off these they can get muddy, slippery and waterlogged if weather has been bad.

Surprisingly calm given its proximity to the M27, NATS and urban development, Swanwick Lakes Nature Reserve occupies the site of a former brickworks and offers a choice of trails through woodland and around five lakes. Extremely popular with dog walkers but can get very muddy when wet.

Swanwick lakes nature reserve park is a really scenic area to visit with its picturesque lake and surrounding countryside. There are walking trails to explore that are easy at one or two miles and the one around the lake is best ( 2 miles). Parking and toilets by information centre.

We visited Swanwick on a wet bank holiday Monday. It was only a 10 minute drive from where I was staying with a friend.
A small car park and several well signposted walks, some on hard paths and others through the woods. It had been raining heavily the night before but most pathways were still accessible with a few muddy/ slippy spots.
A great place for nature enthusiasts, those who like fishing and dog walkers alike.

A pretty little nature park, with interesting wildlife, nature trail walks and reasonable...if slightly small...car parking. Well signed trails, with occasional seating. Very popular with dog walkers.
