Two fantastic trips in successive years! Julian, you are 'da man. Anyone looking for an affordable and exciting salmon fishing adventure, look no further than Kodiak Salmon Riders. The trip in and out is about as good as it gets, in the "War Wagon." The gear is top of the line and the guide service is sensational. You won't regret a trip with Julian.

I returned this summer to another great Alaskan and Kodiak Experience with Kodiak Salmon Riders. We were provided with top notch equipment and backcountry transportation, a friendly and knowledgeable guide, and an unreal fishing experience! Caught all my limits and had tons of fun catching salmon til I was too tired. Julian was responsive and a good communicator from booking day all the way thru. 5 Stars outta 5 is a for sure!

Stig took us on a trip of a lifetime first picked us up at 4 am drove us to pick up atv provided waders and boots got dressed and headed out in the woods to Saltery cove awesome ride and fishing caught some salmon then he took us over to the beach and had lunch then found another fishing hole where we fly fished by ourselves for hours . I had never fly fished before and Stig taught me it’s actually pretty easy and fun ! It was nice to be the only ones there catching tons of fish what a blast! He was born and raised in kodiak and knows it all . I think what makes him unique is that it’s obvious he loves and still enjoys every aspect of this Island! If you can get him as a guide your very lucky and better hurry before he moves of the grid! This kid is the real deal! Not sure why he doesn’t have his own website ? Guess these guys work together.

From Virginia, I have never had a bear walk up on me. So I'm fishing away and decide to take in the scenery and behind me about 75 feet was a Kodiak Brown. My brain was shouting "don't run" so as calmly as I could I walked across the river to the vehicle. The guide recognized the bear as not aggressive and proceeded to take pictures. Quite a highlight for me after I got a change of clothes . Turned out to be a highlight of our trip. Would recommend but the ride out and back can be cold if you are not dressed right
