Lovely afternoon out
Oct 2018 • Friends
Two of us went here at 1pm at were met by David who told us to see the ‘girls’ who we could stroke and hand feed. We then went to meet the male alpacas and did the same. David gave us a bit of background and knew lots about alpacas so it was really interesting. We took out Joy and Hedwig, and David took Gilly. We walked for just over an hour around their farmland. David explained they tend to take the same route as the alpacas can become easily upset if things change. It was a really lovely walk and can imagine even better in the summer so we will definitely be back next year. The alpacas were friendly and really cute! This was great value for money and we even got a cake to take home with us as it was too cold to eat outside. We are looking forward to returning at some point.

This trip might have been okay but one of the llamas died while we were there, it also smelt of rotting corpse

Surprise visit
Aug 2018 • Family
Had a lovely chilled morning learning all about Alpacas. The surroundings are very scenic and the owner very knowledgeable about the animals. It was everything I had hoped for. After feeding the animals we enjoyed a lovely walk through fields where the Alpacas behaved impeccably. Following the walk we were served cordial and very tasty cupcakes. Definitely worth a visit at least once although once you have been I am sure you will want a return visit. A lovely way to spend a sunny Sunday morning. Thank you.

Awesome experience!

Took my dad for his birthday and had a fantastic time at Peppermint alpacas. All the alpacas were super cute and friendly. Meet and fed all the alpacas when we arrived. Took one each for a walk around the farm which is in a stunning location. The friendliest one is joy who a little poser! The funniest one is Hedwig who loved to sit in puddles! Then had hot drinks and cake in the paddock while the alpacas ate their food which was really nice. The lime and chocolate cake was super amazing! Isabelle and David were really friendly and very knowledgeable about alpacas. Thanks for a great day guys!

A wonderful day!
Aug 2018
From start to finish, we had an absolutely wonderful time! David and Isabelle were truly lovely people and clearly have a real love for their alpacas. Our walk took around an hour and a half and was such a good experience with David telling us so many facts about alpacas as well as funny stories and about their own herd. At the end of the walk, we sat and had homemade lemon cake whilst watching the alpacas eat their lunch too. I would recommend the Peppermint Alpacas to anyone, it’s perfect for couples, families... everyone!! We’d love to come back soon! Thank you very much!

Fun morning out
Jun 2018 • Couples
Whilst in the area we looked for things to do and this popped up. We rang up to book a walking time (we went at 10:00 on a friday). The owners text the day before confirming the walk (as conditions may affect whether it goes ahead). Easy to find as she gave directions in a text - follow Viewly Hill farm and then follow for Alpacas.
We met with David and he introduced us to all the Alpacas and a bit of background. It was easy talking but quite educational! They know their stuff about Alpacas. We then walked one each (Gilly and George) round the farmland they own. It was a great way to have a walk with a difference. Not too hard a walk (easy enough for 'not regular walkers'. The walk was about 1 hour but can be longer or shorter depending on how cooperative the Alpacas want to be that day (they are some fantastic personalities). When we got back we washed up and had some homemade delicious cake along with a Yorkshire cuppa and a juice. We sat at a picnic table within the paddock and the Alpacas had their lunch next to us (they were more interested in their food than ours). The owners Isabelle and David took photos for us and we got some selfies! It was fantastic and would definitely recommend :) the Alpacas are very friendly and once they get to know you a little they don't mind a stroke and a fuss. Great for all ages - they just don't like loud screaming. Fab!

Brilliant afternoon
Apr 2018 • Friends
My friend and I visited Peppermint Alpacas yesterday and had an amazing time. Isabelle and David made us feel very welcome and were both informative and knowledgeable about the Alpacas. It was lovely to meet the herd before our walk and learn all about their different characteristics. The walk itself was just the right length and took just over an hour. When we got back to the farm we were treated to a cup of tea and delicious homemade Lemon Cake. Overall it was a lovely relaxed afternoon and I would definitely recommend a visit. I look forward to going back again soon.

A lovely afternoon despite the freezing weather!
Mar 2018 • Friends
Myself and two friends visited Peppermint Alpacas yesterday afternoon and all thoroughly enjoyed it. Isabelle and David couldn't have been more helpful or enthusiastic and told us everything you could possibly want to know about alpacas. Although bitterly cold, the snowy weather made for some stunning scenery, with the walk lasting around an hour and fifteen around the fields. The alpacas themselves were so friendly and very well trained at being led. Couldn't recommend this place enough for something a little bit different, already planning to go back in summer!
