Do I have a favourite place to visit on Crete yes Itanos. Not just the Archaeological site but the beach and surrounding environment. We have been going here for over 15 years now and never tire of it's beauty

I expect this archaeological site is of particular interest to historians. The remains themselves are limited but the site is beautiful and gives a sense of its historic importance..

Nice site, really next to the sea side. It is easy to combine a visit with either the Moni monastry or the palm grove beach, Vai. In fact the remainings is quite a terrain.
