Going to the jetty is great durning the day or for a sunset. As a past boater the current is strong in this jetty. If you enjoy the water it's a nice place to sit and watch the boats come and go from the gulf....More

This is a wonderful location to watch the sun go down! Amp,d parking, restrooms, and snack bar. I'd suggest taking chairs or towel to sit on. Along with the beautiful sunset, we were entertained by Dolphins also!

This was a great beach to go to if you want to look for shells. There was literally a pile by the jetty. My daughter loved digging through them. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because I wish the sand was white sand!...More

This is in Nokomis which is 10 min from Venice off Hwy 41. The beach area and park has it all for a lazy day. Watch the boats go in and out of the bay to the ocean, watch dolphins in the channel chasing fish,...More

We found the best shells along this beach! They wash up right against the jetty. Be prepared to get a little wet, but totally worth it! The sunset from here is absolutely breathtaking!

Great beach in venice. Right down the street from beautiful Casey Key. Great surf spot when there's a hurricane or a storm. Lots of shark teeth to find. Wednesday and Saturday nights there is awesome drum circle with light up hula hoops.

There is a nice shell-strewn beach, but there is even more to enjoy. This park extends along the waterway and is popular with fishermen. Boat traffic was minimal on the day I visited. Pelicans and dolphins provided fun viewing. Kite surfing and surfboarding were noted....More

I have not seen any jet ski's on the beach so probably not safe. They are in the intracoastal, there are several rental places near the jetty.

No I don't think so. There are swim buoys that mark where boats must stay out. Maybe further down the beach you'd be allowed to.

I have not yet seen any manatees but have seen plenty of dophins - they seem to like to feed there - I was last there in March of this year and saw tons of dophins.
