This is the third time I visit Grand Beach and probably the last time. As usual, the beach was gorgeous, however the water quality was nothing short of disgusting. I can't believe people actually swim in this water. Signs posted in the entrance warning of...More

Arrived on the long weekend around 11:00am and was pleasantly surprised to find lots of free parking. Although there were lots of people there, it didn't feel crowded. You can walk along the beach a long ways. It's also quite shallow for quite a ways...More

1st time visiting Winnipeg and asked my friends to take me there, amazingly it was their 1st time going! I'm a Caribbean beach fan so this was a must see for me and I was not disappointed! Absolutely amazing! Beautiful sand and yes you can...More

We used the Basketball court the most and had allot of fun. We went to the beach twice. It is too bad there is no dog friendly beach parts though like at Winnipeg Beach and so next year Matlock and Winnipeg Beach we will be.

Very sad that you can hardly breathe. No dogs allowed no smoking along with a lengthy list of things you can't do along the boardwalk and beach, Makes it hard to support the locals. Here on a camping trip but won't return.

There were 7 of us from age 15 to 72. We had an absolutely perfect day at Grand Beach. We love the long picturesque beach line and the soft sand that extends into the water. We brought coolers with sandwiches and snacks, and went to...More

This is one of the best beaches in Canada! The sand is so soft, the beach has sand bars, and you can go out quite away before it gets deep. The beach is very large, and there are 2 sides to the beach (east and...More

We spent the evening at this beach. It wasn't too crowded, but I imagine that it is more busy during the daytime. The beach was very nice though! The water was warm (probably the warmest lake water I've ever felt). The sand was so smooth....More

If you are looking to get out of the city and catch some sunshine, Grand Beach is the place to go. Change rooms, wash rooms, food and even some stalls to shop at. You can sit on a bench or sit on the sand. And...More

Relaxing day on the sand, bring your tunes, food stands only accept cash, fries are frozen but tasty, water is shallow, not the cleanest water but it will do, highway drive from Winnipeg needs improvement so be careful, under an hour from north perimeter highway,...More

We visited the beach the second week of September and loved it. Of course it was on/off sprinkle showers every 30 minutes, but the swimmers were having a great time. I bet summer is crowded. We are still planning to go... More
