Built by Sir Robert Palk as a tribute to his friend General Stringer Lawrence, who preceded Clive of India. Fascinating building and history - you can see for miles wonderful views over Devon countryside and there are lovely walks around and picnic areas.

My husband suffers a bad back and finds the sunbeds with pads uncomfortable are they all the same sunbeds in hotel and which ones are they? Also how about the sunbeds on the beach?
